Here's the science bit..
During a massage the stress hormone cortisol is reduced, and several feel good chemicals are released (endorphins, oxytocin, dopamine, serotonin)
Serotonin is essential for production of melatonin. Melatonin lets your body know that it’s nighttime so that you can relax and fall asleep more easily.
So you will head to bed feeling more relaxed and less stressed, which will help clear your mind and reduce anxious thoughts and tossing and turning at night.
Also sports massage helps reduce pain and reduces headaches/migraines which can also stop you having a good night's sleep.
There really are so many benefits to having a regular sports massage, it's not just for athletes!
