Celebrating pride at TTP!

Throughout June we celebrated Pride month! Highlights included our ‘Pride Merch’ of lanyards and stickers to help colleagues visibly show allyship to our LGBTQ+ community, and our first-ever Pride bake sale and picnic organised by our employee-lend TTP Pride Network. It was a month full of joy and community spirit.

Special congratulations to our Star Baker, George Coupland, and a big thank you to everyone who supported the bake sale – all proceeds went to the wonderful 🧁

We also loved seeing the ‘notes of appreciation’ shared across the team, helping to spread positivity and recognition throughout the month

📍 Today we're delighted to be in Lausanne for another inspiring edition of the UK-Swiss Exchanges, this time in collaboration with Cellular Origins, Biopôle, and the UK Government.

At TTP, we've always believed in the power of cross-border collaboration. These Exchanges were created to foster stronger ties and open dialogue between the UK and Swiss cell and gene therapy communities, bringing together researchers, developers, manufacturers, biotech innovators, pharmaceutical leaders, and regulators.

We’re thrilled to see them continue. We're looking forward to a day full of insightful conversations, fresh ideas, and new partnerships.

Our colleague, Aaron Rucinski moderated the panel at Cambridge Wireless's Byte Size event: “Can AI and Safety Go Hand-in-Hand? Engineering Responsible Intelligence at Speed.”

The panel featured:

▪️Ignas Budvytis (Cambridge Innovation Capital) on modular robotics and verifiability in logistics.
▪️Dr. Ashley Setter (NquiringMinds) discussing the concept of a trusted AI Bill of Materials and traceability for accountable AI.
▪️Richard Cannon (Project Bluebird, NATS) sharing insights on developing a fully automated AI Air Traffic Control system by 2050, emphasizing engineering trust before technology.

The session addressed the complex challenge of developing AI systems that are both powerful and safe, navigating appropriate system design, safeguards in software and hardware, data governance, ethics, and regulatory constraints.

Yesterday, we held a bake sale to raise funds for Phoenix Trust Milton —a brilliant social enterprise and charity that gives young people and adults with learning disabilities and additional needs real-world work experience.

From cinnamon buns to millionaire’s shortbread, pear crumble cake, and even a show-stopping rainbow cake, there were so many delicious treats on offer.

Thanks to everyone who baked, bought, and donated—we’ve raised over £900 so far! 💙👏
