Developed in Japan in the early 20th century by Mikao Usui. The word comes from two Japanese terms:

Rei = “universal” or “spiritual wisdom”
Ki = “life force energy” Together, Reiki means “universal life energy.”

Reiki is based on the idea that we all have a natural flow of energy within and around us. When life gets stressful or overwhelming, that flow can feel blocked or out of balance.

During a Reiki session, I gently place my hands on or just above your body. I don’t give you my energy—instead, I act like a channel, allowing universal life energy to flow where it’s needed most.

💫 Think of it like watering a plant: the water naturally goes to the roots that are thirsty. Reiki energy does the same—it flows to the areas of your body and mind that need support, helping you feel calmer, lighter, and more balanced.

It’s safe, soothing, and always works in harmony with your own natural healing process. 🌸

Yesterday marked the official launch of my Reiki treatments at Pure Beauty Studio, and I’m feeling deeply grateful.

The day was filled with calm, connection, and the most wonderful energy from everyone who came to experience a session.

Thank you to each person who trusted me to hold space for you—it was an honour to share this practice and witness the restorative power of Reiki in action. 💜
