This is myself yesterday with the lovely staff from St Damians RC Science College. After my wellbeing yoga and mindfulness session for world Mental Health Day.
I have over 10 years experience teaching yoga in groups and one to one. Continuously marrying ancient ideas and techniques with Modern evidence based Science, my Yoga stands out amongst the rest. Basing my main understanding of yoga not on other people's dated designs, but on my own personal understanding of Yoga which has helped take me from extreme trauma to joy and peace. I believe there is no one way with yoga, there is only your way and I can help you find it.
I offer powerful group wellbeing sessions for schools, charities and business at fantastic rates. I have done group work with Army Veterans, Vulnerable adults and with School teachers and am happy to work with any adult group.
I hold two weekly classes open to the general public in Uppermill Centre. One for general all abilities and one for over 60's.

"Jamie and I have worked together for the past couple of years and over this period Jamie has done some great work with the local community. Jamie has delivered bespoke yoga sessions to military veterans and their families and it was due to the success and positive feedback associated to that particular project that I decided to ask him to support me delivering a mindfulness and wellbeing project to vulnerable adults across Tameside in the winter of 2019 leading to the outbreak of the recent pandemic. He tailored his sessions to really engage with the local community positively and it enhanced the session immensely with people attending simply to engage with the yoga sessions Jamie delivered.
I would recommend his sessions to anybody who even has a slight interest in learning a new skill. He is empathetic, understanding and easy to both work with and learn from."
Andy Cheshire, Community Manager, Curzon Ashton FC Foundation
"Jamie has been delivering yoga sessions for Moving Forces veterans for years now! His approach and rapport with the veterans has been a huge benefit to the programme and each attendee who we send absolutely loves his classes. The focus on breathing and slow movement has helped several veterans with their mental health along with their physical health, and they have credited Jamie’s class with these improvements. Moving Forces encourages others to try it out!"
Elizabeth Hill, Programme Lead (Moving Forces), GreaterSport – Greater Manchester Sports
“I love how Jamie describes yoga and the emphasis he places on the breathing. Since starting I feel calmer, sleep better and have better flexibility. Thank you for helping me live more in the moment”.
Sarah Prenton (Neurological Physiotherapist/Senior Lecturer)
“Jamie’s own personal experiences and his yoga journey are very admirable. He is very knowledgeable on yoga and his teachings are based on his own understandings of yoga practice. I look forward to his class each week.”
Caroline Mostenski (BWY Student Teacher)
Having practised Yoga with Jamie for a number of years I feel it has enabled me to keep performing at my best. As well as giving me longevity in my career I feel it has helped with everyday life and general well being.
