A Fun-Filled Weekend at Butlers Mews

What a fantastic weekend we’ve had!

Saturday kicked off with a singalong led by Topaz, we joined in with instruments and we were truly touched by a special rendition of Edelweiss by Linden.

Later, some of us went on a little outing to pick bulbs for our raised beds—ready to be planted for next spring! 🌷

Today, joy spread through a lively game of balloon tennis, complete with two very special guests who brought smiles to everyone’s faces.

We also celebrated a special lady's birthday—Happy Birthday, Hajara! 🥰🥳

To cap things off, the fabulous Chris Hyde entertained us with singing, dancing, and smiles all around it was lovely seeing so many joining in the fun!. Derek said he is one of the best entertainers we’ve had!
We can’t wait to have him back again.

What a Wonderful Week at Butlerss Mews! 🌸

It’s been a fantastic few days here at Butlerss Mews, filled with laughter, fun, and great company.

We took some of our lovely residents out for a cuppa and a slice of cake at the Ex-Servicemen’s Café – always a treat! Back at home, our fabulous Hannah got everyone moving with some lively boogie dancing, which the residents absolutely loved.

We also welcomed our wonderful performer Eleanor, who treated us to some fantastic music that had everyone smiling and singing along – a real highlight for our residents!

We enjoyed a game of bingo, with some lucky winners walking away with prizes and big smiles. We were also treated to a visit from wildlife expert Simon – the residents were captivated by his engaging talk and the amazing programme he shared.

We celebrated the birthday of one of our amazing team members – a special moment shared with the whole Butlerss Mews family.

To round off a beautiful week, we took a peaceful stroll around the garden and picked some stunning flowers to brighten up our home.

What a fun and memorable day at Butler’s Mews! 🎉
We started off raising money for a good cause with a classic “Pie the Manager” event — but things quickly escalated in the best way possible! Before we knew it, all members of staff (and even some brave residents!) were getting involved and showing their support.

Everyone was such a good sport, and thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of all involved, we raised a grand total of £129! 👏💙

A big thank you to everyone who took part and helped make the day such a success.

We had a wonderful weekend with plenty to celebrate! Yesterday marked the lovely Janet’s birthday, happy birthday Janet! We also enjoyed a lively quiz in the afternoon.

Today we celebrated Grandparent’s Day with a beautifully crafted afternoon tea courtesy of our kitchen team. It was a delight to see all the generations coming together to enjoy an afternoon of tea, cakes and company.

Can you believe it’s October already? Time is flying by!

Our wonderful residents George and Gwen celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary this week. Such a beautiful milestone and a joy for us all to share in their happiness.

A big round of applause to our September Employees of the Month – Job from our care team and Caitlin from housekeeping! 🌟 Your hard work, kindness, and dedication make such a difference every single day, and we’re so lucky to have you.

We also enjoyed a lovely visit from Lightweight Mobility, who came to showcase their latest wares for residents and families.

We were delighted to welcome the amazing Janja from RISE, who got everyone moving with a fun, heart-pumping exercise session.

To top it all off, today we were treated to the jazzy musical stylings and gorgeous voice of the talented Charmaine! Smiles, clapping, and even some dancing filled the room.

Here’s to a joyful October ahead!

All proceeds will go towards purchasing a Defibrillator - helping to keep our community safe.
