I just wanted to jump on here and wish you all a happy new year! 2025 has been my busiest year yet with JPF Sports Therapy and I am incredibly grateful for everybody who has come to see me for treatment or recommended me to someone/somewhere these last 12 months, it really means the world to me.

I am really grateful to have a career in which I love, and a career that allows me to meet incredible people and gives me opportunities which I know only a few are given, 2025 was big, 2026 can be even better.

I hope that 2026 is even better for all of you to, and I just want to thank you all again for all your kindness, support and friendships. Without you none of this is possible.

LONDON MARATHON UPDATE.

Sorry for the radio silence over the last few months, I had been busy training and preparing for this year’s London Marathon. Despite throwing everything at it and completing a lot of my big mile training runs I have had to make the really tough decision to pull out of this year’s marathon and defer it to next year. I have been battling various niggles from the start of training but have been losing the battle with a hip issue that ultimately has put an end to my chances of completing this year’s marathon. It’s been a really hard decision to make but i know that it’s the right decision to make for my long term health.

I want to thank who have been incredible the whole way through and are allowing me to defer my place to next years marathon and transferring my fundraising over to next years effort too which is a huge relief.

I want to thank everyone for their kindness and generosity in helping me nearly reach my fundraising target already. I want to keep pushing and raising as much as I can for this incredible charity.

I will still be going to London to support the charity and cheer on some friends and clients who are taking part and the rest of the amazing runners.

After that it’s time to take some time to rest and recover and come back stronger.

Thank you again for all your donations and messages, it really means a lot to me.

As some of you have seen already I have been lucky enough to be selected to run in next years London Marathon for SSAFA The Armed Forces Charity. To run for SSAFA I have to raise a minimum of £2500. To confirm my place for the marathon I need to have raised £1000 by Christmas otherwise I lose the opportunity to represent them.

I have created a raffle to help with my fundraising efforts. There are only 100 raffle tickets for sale, at a cost of £20 each, but there are over 30 prizes to be won worth at least £20 each so the odds are pretty good.

I have sold over a quarter of the tickets so far, but wanting to get the tickets sold as quickly as possible to help hit my target before Christmas to confirm my place with the charity, but also so that we can distribute the prizes to winners before Christmas.

London Marathon 2025 incoming! This for me has been a bucket list moment, not because I love running, quite the opposite to be honest, especially road running, I couldn’t think of much worse, but this is the London Marathon!

Surrounded by thousands of people all aiming for the same thing, to get across that finish line, but it’s bigger than that right. Thousands of people coming together, a lot of them (myself included) running for charity to raise money and awareness for something much bigger than us.

Thousands more coming to cheer and support friends and family, and even strangers through the 26.2 miles.

This will be a challenge no doubt, especially the miles and miles of training runs all to get to the big day, but I can’t help feel incredibly grateful and proud. I know how fortunate I am to have this opportunity, and with that my marathon journey and fundraising journey starts here.

I can promise you that even on those wettest and coldest days when the last thing I want to do is go and get those miles in. I will be out there doing exactly that, because I know it’s not every day you get this opportunity.

And who knows maybe after this I might start enjoying running on the road, or maybe it will be a nice way to retire from road running altogether and never look back.

London Marathon 2025 I’m coming for you, and I’m going to give everything I’ve got.

I am really grateful for the opportunity to run the London Marathon for

I have friends, family and a fair few clients who are in the military now or are ex military, and I know of a fair few of them who have needed the help of SSAFA whether that’s physical or emotional care, helping them move from military life in to ‘civvy street’, helping them deal with issues like post traumatic stress.

I don’t know half of what these people have had to go through, or are going through but I know that there is a lot of military personnel ex or still serving who need the support of charities like SSAFA.

These people have sacrificed so much for us, some even their own lives. I can’t match what they have sacrificed but the least I can do is help raise awareness of this brilliant charity and fundraise as much as I can to help support them.

In life you sometimes get opportunities presented to you, and then it’s up to you how you act upon that. A few years ago I had the opportunity to work on swim programme at Loughborough University and I took it with both hands.

It’s been an incredible journey working with a great bunch of people, from coaches to the swimmers themselves. I will forever be thankful for the opportunity and for the friendships and memories made.

Sometimes good things come to an end and I am really excited for my next chapter, but in the mean time I am going to sit back and enjoy watching some of our amazing swimmers go and fulfil their Olympic dream. Years of hard work have brought us here and I am so damn proud of each and everyone of them.

I am just reflecting on the past season working with the Premier League & EFL match officials. Although I have been involved since 2018, this has definitely been a break through season in terms of consistency. I have loved every moment working with the match officials on match days at Burnley FC, Luton Town & Nottingham Forest, as well as working with a fantastic team of therapists at the training camps.

It has honestly been such a fantastic season, and it’s been a pleasure working within such a great team. I am very much looking forward to next season and to see what that brings.
