March is a great month for ladies… international women’s day, Mother’s Day… can we claim Saturday’s upcoming Spring Equinox for ladies too? Mother Earth is certainly shining brightly!!
I had the pleasure of the company of this lovely group of ladies last week. My amazing yoga teacher community, my sangha, my work life support group, my friends, my sisters.
A yoga teacher life has the potential to be quite remote, quite lonely but I feel anything but.
I have my incredible class community, I genuinely love you all! And with these empowering ladies supporting me and each other behind the scenes, well … my cup just runneth over. 🥰

It's terribly British to not want to appear braggy, big headed, and while we suppress this, all that happens is that we hide our light and quite often our joy, our gratitude.
So today, for a change, I am not going to do that. I want to share the joy that this lovely message has brought me today. It is a privilege to share what I love, what lights me up... and for it to be able to reach and affect you positively - ah, it's just the best!
Thank you SO much for this message today Steve - I am delighted, proud and exceedingly grateful to people like you who allow me to do what I absolutely love, thank you x

Happy March!
Happy blue sky day!
Hello sunshine!!!
Doesn’t it just feel AMAZING to see the sun, to have the windows open, to welcome in Spring and renewal and hope?!
It makes me think that maybe I’ve been asleep since November!
Do you know, interesting fact... the New Year used to start in March.
I learnt this fact recently and it makes so much sense. Nature awakens, and we are nature. We are awakening like the lovely daffodils above (I just took that photo in my garden - makes me so happy!)
Think back to January, the dark depths of winter, and there we are, expected to set goals for the year ahead, to plan, to forecast... and yet we are then still very much wintering ourselves.
No wonder so many new year’s resolutions last a week, if you’re lucky!
Imagine instead, now... Happy New Year!
What a celebration would be had!
We’d be so much more inclined to set goals and stick to them because our energy is renewing.
I’d also feel much more likely to stay awake until midnight to welcome in the New Year, rather than sleeping through like I do most years 😂
It was in 1752 that some smart alec decided to change New Year to start in January.
I say take us back!
I will start the revolution now...
On this sunny, gorgeous day, I wish you a Happy New Year!!
Queue the fireworks! 🎇

I am just in love with Spring!! It’s so good to welcome colour back into our days and the sun that we’ve been so lucky to see. It’s made me feel reborn from the depths and darkness of winter.
And my lovely doggy is enjoying peeing on all the flowers! So don’t go picking any 😂😂🤓

What a delight to be invited to the Dunchurch and Thurlaston W.I. this afternoon to talk about yoga, why I love it, how it can benefit us all and then to share some breathwork and movement. Thank you for asking me ladies and I’m SO glad you enjoyed.
Also thanks for the cake 🍰 I turned down the kind offer of payment and received a lovely cake instead. I might start changing payment methods to homemade cake instead for future classes 🤤😝

The seeds of Spring are beginning to stir, even in this grey rain! We have passed the half way point between the winter solstice and the spring equinox and we welcome more light each day.
I have found clouds of snowdrops (particularly beautiful at St John’s church in Hillmorton); the crocuses opened in the glimmer of sunshine yesterday on Bilton green, and I have one daffodil in early bloom in my garden.
Spring is coming 🥰 Have hope x

Quite simply I LOVE yoga! I have personally practiced yoga for over 20 years and yoga has always factored in my life as my beautiful mum is a true yogini (and she can often be found at my classes!). Yoga has given me a tool to manage my moods, increase my flexibility and given me some nice muscles too! I swear I have actually grown taller through my yoga practice, by building strength and improving my posture.
That is what inspired me to spend 15 months training to be a yoga teacher at the very wonderful Whitespace Yoga & Wellbeing Studio and why I am so thrilled and grateful to now call myself a fully registered 200 hour yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance Professionals. I am qualified, confident and able to share my passion of yoga with you and help bring yoga and its huge amount of benefits into your life.
I am here to keep you safe as I share my knowledge and experience; teaching you techniques to build firm foundations, helping to deepen your practice and move you in a way that is right for you and your body, finding your strength and helping to improve and manage your energy levels.
I offer classes suited to all levels, from the absolute beginner to those who have many years of practice, and now those who are pregnant. There is no competition in yoga – the practice I teach embraces each pupil's uniqueness. People are always a little nervous when first coming to a class but please rest assured that it is such a lovely thing to practice and I am here to guide you and share this wonder with you. If you are unsure of how yoga benefits you, take a look here for more details.
My style of yoga (let's face it, there are so many choices available now that it can be quite overwhelming to know where to start!) is Hatha Yoga. Hatha means balance so my focus is on building strength and length and flexibility, bringing focus into the body and the breath and then finally observing the effect this can bring to the mind. My classes are carefully sequenced, moving intelligently from posture to posture which creates a lovely flow. For me, I don't enjoy classes where I move from seated to standing, to kneeling, to lying down, to standing and so on...! I carefully plan my classes to achieve that feeling of seamless transitions, which is suitable for all levels and really enjoyable.
I ensure my class sizes are of a size that allows me to help you individually on your journey, no matter how far down the line you are, keeping you safe and working in a way that is just right for you.
