Patient information – Covid 19 update Jan 2021
This information sheet is a summery of the steps I have taken to reduce the risks of spreading Covid 19 after completing a risk assessment. The risk assessment is available if you wish to view it.

If you are a new patient to the practice the case history may be taken over the phone before you come for treatment. Please come by yourself unless you feel the need for a chaperone or you are under 16.

As soon as you enter the clinic you will be asked to wash or sanitise your hands. At the moment, you will be asked to wear a face-covering. The Osteopath will be wearing an apron, mask and gloves for the time of your treatment. All the surfaces in the room, handles, door bell, floor will be sanitised between each patient. Any linen used is only used once before washing. Windows will be open if possible and the room will be aerated between patients. Please pay by contactless card in preference to cash and cheque. The Osteopaths clothes are not worn outside the clinic and washed at the end of a session. Please sanitise your hands before leaving.

Please let me know if you come down with any Covid symptoms within 48 hours of visiting as soon as possible and keep me informed if you get a positive or negative test result.

Before you come to the clinic, the Osteopath will ring you to complete a pre screening questionnaire for Covid 19 symptoms, to evaluate your vulnerability risk (currently I would advice all shielding patients against treatment) and assess the need for an appointment. If you are a new patient to the practice the case history may be taken over the phone before you come for treatment. Please come by yourself unless you feel the need for a chaperone or you are under 16.
