Relaxing Rainbows on their first Rainbow sleepover this evening ☁️ ✨ 🌈

Turning this wet and wild evening into one of stars, clouds, rainbows and magic 🪄

They were calm and quiet when I left but 🤞 for the remainder of the night 💜

200 minutes of yoga completed this week (thanks mostly to the gorgeous retreat I attended last Saturday) but still more minutes on my mat at home than I have done in recent weeks ✨

Using so many different YouTube videos to keep my practice different each time, based on the prompts on my yoga tracker. Tonight’s practice made me feel super stretched and released a lot of tension in my hips (my worst area) and shoulders with some calming breathwork 🌬️

Thank you to everyone who has sponsored me so far 🙏

It is keeping me posting through so far! 💞

If you’d like to add a few £££ myself and would be grateful 🩷🩷🩷🩷

Why is rest and relaxation so important for women’s health……

🌿 Hormonal balance

Women’s hormones naturally fluctuate through monthly cycles and different life stages including monthly cycles, pregnancy, perimenopause and menopause. Stress and lack of rest can throw this delicate balance off, leading to:

• Fatigue and mood swings

• Sleep disturbances

• Difficulty maintaining energy levels

Rest helps regulate cortisol (the stress hormone), which in turn supports more stable hormone function

💖 Mental health and emotional resilience

Women often juggle multiple roles including work, caregiving, home responsibilities, relationships. Without intentional rest, this can lead to burnout, anxiety, or emotional overwhelm. Rest and relaxation can:

• Calm the nervous system

• Reduce stress and anxiety

• Improve focus, creativity, and patience

• Strengthens emotional resilience

💤 Physical health

Rest isn’t just “doing nothing” it’s when the body repairs itself. Adequate rest can:

• Support immune function

• Aid digestion and heart health

• Help maintain a healthy weight

• Reduce inflammation and risk of illness

Even short, regular moments of rest (like mindfulness, gentle yoga, or quiet walks) can improve long-term health.

A Calm Adult session can help improve hormonal balance, mental health and emotional resilience and physical health. My next session is November 11th, 7.30pm, Cawston Community Hall, exchange £15 💞

Please contact me for more information or to book your space.

Prioritise yourself and take an hour from your daily life to rest and relax 🩷

The first Adult Calm of the Autumn, thank you to everyone who came.

We embraced the slowing down of Autumn, took a walk in our minds through an Autumnal forest, engulfing ourselves in the sounds, colours, textures and scents of Autumn 🍂 ✨ 💛🧡🍁🌾

The next Adult Calm is November 11th, Cawston Community Hall 💛 ✨ 🎆
