DEAF AWARENESS WEEK 3rd to 9th MAY 2021.

This week is an annual event promoted by the UK Council on Deafness to help raise awareness and the challenges of hearing loss faced by 1 in 6 people in the UK. This year's theme is "Coming Through it Together" - it is important that as changes are introduced as a result of the pandemic in so many areas, particularly with the emphasis on remote working, the needs of people with hearing loss are understood and necessary adjustments made to services. With this in mind it has never been more crucial to have your hearing checked - book your appointment today!

RAISING AWARENESS AND IMPROVING YOUR JOURNEY


This Tinnitus Awareness Week the British Tinnitus Association (BTA) is campaigning to make sure that everyone with tinnitus gets the right information from the right place at the right time.

Sadly, it is known that a negative start to your tinnitus journey can have a serious impact on how you manage your tinnitus and your mental health. From being told to "just learn to live with it" by a medical professional to reading incorrect and potentially harmful information online.

Thankfully this is not the case for everyone, but we want to make sure that it is not the case for anyone.

As a Corporate Member of the BTA I am able to provide this service - perform a tinnitus assessment, offer advice and discuss options with regard to therapy / treatment. Please do not hesitate to contact me to arrange an appointment.

(Following the current guidelines from my professional bodies, face to face appointments are possible so long as there is a clinical need and all the necessary procedures and protocols are in place)

Following the guidelines from my professional bodies face to face appointments are not advised unless there is a clinical need, and the benefits outweigh the risks.
