Christine Anderson Theatre School Acrobatics, Musical Theatre & more! Est. since 1974! Christine Anderson Theatre School (C.A.T.S.) CATS are Registered with the excellent Examining body I.D.T.A.

Christine Anderson Theatre School is based in Hillmorton & Houlton and offers a wide range of dance classes in IDTA Ballet, Tap, Contemporary Modern Jazz aswell as our Stage Club and Festival Team! (International Dance Teachers Association) for Ballet, Modern Jazz, Tap & Theatre Craft. We have a Safeguard Policy, and all Teachers have DBS, First Aid, and full official Dance qualifications. Our basic classes all INCLUDE – BALLET, MODERN JAZZ, THEATRE CRAFT, TAP, and GYMNASTIC AGILITIES. Dance is taught on a kind of building block system called Grades, starting with PREPARATORY, & PRIMARY (from 4 – 6 years) then on to Grades 1 – 5 and then (6, 7, & 8 Ballet only) and on to Majors! We follow the Graded syllabus in Ballet, Modern Jazz, Theatre Craft, & Tap. The children are always excited and highly motivated to take their Exams and move on! We are proud to share your enjoyment of their achievements! New Parents are welcome to attend 1 class initially to see if your child will join in, but then once Registered, asked to leave as quickly as possible so that the class can begin!!! Our CATS uniform is compulsory so that all the children have a feeling of belonging and are part of the Team! We are looking for children with potential who want to perform, and commitment from their Parents, as opportunities abound! We are also now offering Acro, Street/Commercial and Contemporary Classes!

Tribute 2025- over and out! I want to send a Huge heartfelt thanks to all involved, it really does take a village! What started as an idea grew into something so full of heart and passion, made possible entirely because of the incredible people behind it. To our beautiful dancers, Thankyou for inspiring me, Watching you grow in confidence, supporting one another, and shining on stage is the very reason we choose to teach. You are all remarkable. From our tiniest dancers to our incredibly talented seniors, you lit up the stage every night, honoured memories and reminded us why dance is such a powerful language. To our teachers and choreographers, thank you for your creativity, patience, and belief in every dancer. The encouragement you give, and the standards you uphold are what make performances like this possible. This show was a reflection of your passion and dedication and I couldn’t do without you! To our families and supporters, thank you for the endless lifts, late night rehearsals, costumes, and unwavering encouragement. Your support behind the scenes means more than you know and allows our dances to make memories for life. To everyone who helped backstage, front of house, tech, sound and lighting. You are the quiet magic makers. Your hard work ensured the show ran smoothly and we are so grateful for everything you do.And lastly, and most importantly, thankyou to Christine and Vicki-Jo for installing our love and passion and allowing us to continue to create, inspire and nurture the next generation of young dancers. This show was a tribute in every sense, to those no longer with us and the power of performing together. Thank you to everyone who played a part. It truly was a week we will never forget.
