Celebrating Ann’s birthday at home today with her friends 💐🎉
What made it extra special was seeing friends from Anya Court come together from different communities. It’s a lovely reminder that even though we may live separately, we are truly one home.

🎄✨ Christmas Fair Fundraising Success ✨🎄

Kieran, General Manager, and Sue, Lifestyles Lead, were proud to present the money raised from our Christmas Fair. We were delighted to support UHCW Charity, with all funds going through them to the Arden Centre, a cause that is very close to our hearts here at Anya Court 🩷💚

A big thank you to Daniel from UHCW Charity - University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire Charity for supporting our home as well.

We’re also taking a little look back at our Christmas Grotto 🎅🌟 the Lifestyles team definitely topped their efforts from previous years!

What day is it?? Who knows anymore! 😄
Here’s a little selection of what we’ve been getting up to over the Christmas period.

We kicked things off with a fantastic Christmas Eve party with Rob Wilson, which really got everyone into the Christmas spirit 🎶🎄. There was lots of singing, smiling and festive cheer all round.

Our residents then got creative, making the centre pieces for the tables on Christmas Day, which looked absolutely wonderful. On the big day itself, we were delighted to welcome over 40 relatives who joined us to enjoy a delicious Christmas meal together, a truly special and memorable day for everyone.

A huge thank you to the amazing team who worked so hard to make Christmas Day extra special for everyone we welcomed through the doors your dedication truly made the day 🎄❤️

And the celebrations aren’t over yet! We can’t wait for our New Year’s Eve party this Wednesday, starting at 2:30pm in the cinema 🎬🎉

🎺 A Wonderful Evening of Music! 🎶
We had a full house last night for a fantastic performance by the Salvation Army Rugby. Residents, families, and our team all came together and had the best time, the atmosphere was amazing and full of joy ❤️

Mulled wine, mince pies, and hot chocolate went down a treat and helped make the evening extra special. Thank you to everyone who joined us and to the band for such a memorable night.

✨ Strictly Come Dancing Final Fun! ✨
Our residents had a fantastic time celebrating the Strictly Come Dancing final with a party to remember! 💃🕺 There were plenty of tasty snacks, a delicious cake, and the wine was flowing 🍰🍷

Everyone got into the spirit by becoming judges for the night, using their own score cards to rate the dancers. Lots of laughs and lively debate all around! What a wonderful way to enjoy the final together ❤️

We were delighted to welcome the fabulous Lesley Ann Vocalist Entertainer and Katie Rose Vocalist into the home today. The ladies were sparkling, as they always are, and filled the home with beautiful Christmas songs for our residents. Everything was sparkling with an extra touch of Christmas magic, and the smiles said it all, very happy residents and lots of festive cheer! 💖🎶✨

A thoughtful connection 💙

Our Lifestyles Lead Sue's husband Mark had a lovely chat with Charles at our Christmas Fair. They got talking about narrowboats, and Charles mentioned he used to work as a carpenter building them.

Later, Mark spotted a narrowboat model and immediately thought of Charles, so he bought it especially for him. Such a thoughtful moment ❤️

We are delighted to invite everyone to join us for a festive evening of Carols in the Café, led by the Salvation Army.

Enjoy the sounds of traditional Christmas carols while warming up with mulled wine, mince pies, and hot chocolate, which will be available on the evening. ☕🍷🥧

This is a lovely opportunity to come together with our residents, families, friends, and the local community to celebrate the festive season.

🎄Reverse Advent Calendar Donations Needed🎄

We are currently collecting donations for our Reverse Advent Calendar, and we also have a doggy version for Pawprints 🐾

Please note that all donations need to be non-perishable items.

Everything collected will be sorted and passed on to the District Nurses, who will then distribute them to patients in need within our local community.

🗓️ Donations close this Friday, ready for the District Nurses to collect next week.

Any contribution, big or small, would be hugely appreciated and will help make a real difference. Thank you for your continued kindness and support 💙
