Three sessions focused on labour, birth and hypnobirthing taught by an experienced midwife, giving you the knowledge and confidence to make informed choices for your birth.

Plus infant feeding with an IBCLC lactation consultant midwife, baby care and those early newborn days.

Mondays 7.30–9.30pm at The Barn, Houlton.

One of the things I saw all the time working on triage and the home birth team…

Women arriving in early labour already completely exhausted.

They hadn’t slept.

They hadn’t eaten.

They felt sick, overwhelmed, and often really disheartened because things “weren’t progressing”… or contractions had slowed down.

And I get it.

When labour starts, it’s exciting. It feels like something you need to do something with.

So many women stay up through the night trying to “get things going”…

Walking, bouncing, timing, analysing every contraction.

But here’s the truth 🤍

👉 If your body is in established labour, contractions won’t just stop because you lie down.

Rest is not slowing things down…

It’s supporting your body to do what it needs to do.

Early labour is your body gently preparing.

And the best thing you can do?

✨ Stay calm

✨ Stay at home

✨ Eat

✨ Drink

✨ And rest as much as you can

Because later on… you’ll be so glad you did.

This morning was our final baby massage session for the September class. After the massage, we enjoy some time with hot drinks, biscuits, bubbles, and shakers, though often the babies feel so relaxed that it’s the perfect moment for a little nap.
