This is exactly why I created Enlighten & Lead ⚡

Because leadership development shouldn’t be expensive…and it definitely shouldn’t be one-size-fits-all.

I’m really pleased to be partnering with the Agile Group to support a fully funded leadership programme for people in Cheshire & Warrington.

⚡️100% funded for self-employed & unemployed
⚡️Up to 90% funded if you’re employed
⚡️ILM recognised
⚡️Next cohort starts 2nd June

This isn’t about sitting through slides and ticking boxes.

It’s about real, practical leadership - building confidence, managing people better, and actually applying what you learn in your day-to-day role.

At Enlighten & Lead, I’m passionate about helping leaders understand the human side of leadership - and this programme is a great step in that journey.

If you’re local to Cheshire & Warrington (or know someone who is), this is such a good opportunity to take that next step without the usual cost barrier.

Rugby & Warwickshire businesses - 💩 just got real.

New government guidance on menopause action plans has been released… and it’s clear:

👉🏻Employers are expected to take real, measurable action - not just raise awareness.

This means local businesses need to start thinking about:
• How menopause is impacting your workforce (absence, retention, performance)
• What support actually looks like in your organisation
• Whether your managers feel confident handling conversations
• Who is accountable for making this happen

Because this isn’t just about large corporates.

From care homes to retail, offices to education - this is already affecting your teams across Rugby and Warwickshire.

And the expectation is shifting quickly.

So ask yourself:

👉🏻If someone in your team is struggling today, would your managers know what to do?
👉🏻Could you confidently say you’re taking reasonable, proactive steps?

If not - now is the time to act.

I work with businesses across Rugby and Warwickshire through Enlighten & Lead and Hormones on the blink to put practical menopause support in place without overcomplicating it.

If you know this needs attention in your organisation, message me. Let’s get this sorted.

⚠️ WARNING - This nearly caught me out this week…

I was spam bombed.

Within minutes, I had hundreds of emails flooding my inbox - all asking me to confirm subscriptions I’d never signed up for.

At first, I thought… just spam 🤷🏻‍♀️
But something didn’t feel right.

And I’m so glad I trusted that instinct.

Because hidden in the middle of all that noise…
was a real email confirming a purchase.

A Dyson Airwrap I absolutely did NOT order 😳

Here’s what I’ve since learned 👇🏻

Scammers will:
▪️ Hack into your account
▪️ Change your password
▪️ Buy something expensive
▪️ Redirect delivery to a local collection point
▪️ Then flood your inbox so you miss the real confirmation email

It’s not random. It’s deliberate.

⚠️ So please don’t ignore it if this happens to you:

👉🏻Search your emails for “order” or “confirmation”
👉🏻Check your bank straight away
👉🏻Change your passwords (and turn on 2-step verification)
👉🏻Contact the company immediately

I’d never heard of a “spam bomb” before this week… and I nearly missed it.

Sharing this in case it helps someone else spot it sooner 🙏🏻 I won’t get the time back this has taken me to sort out and being self employed time is precious 😔

Feel free to share - this is one of those things people need to know.

This isn’t an April Fool’s joke… but a lot of businesses are about to look like one 👀

Because while menopause is still being treated as a “nice to have” in some workplaces…

Things are changing.

The UK’s Employment Rights Act is raising expectations - and menopause support is firmly on the agenda.

So what does that mean?

✔️ More pressure on employers to take menopause seriously
✔️ More visibility on how women are supported at work
✔️ And a growing expectation that you can actually show what you’re doing

From April 2026, organisations can start publishing action plans.
By 2027… it won’t be optional.

And here’s the bit no one loves hearing:

A lot of businesses aren’t ready.

Policies? Maybe.
Confidence? Not always.
Practical support? Hit and miss.

👉 The risk isn’t saying the wrong thing
👉 It’s doing absolutely nothing

So before April 1st rolls around…

Ask yourself - are you ahead of this, or hoping no one notices?

I help businesses:
⚡️Train managers so they know what to say (and what not to say)
⚡️Deliver menopause & hormone awareness sessions (yes, including allies 👏)
⚡️Put simple, realistic support in place that actually works

No fluff. No awkwardness. Just practical support.

If menopause support has been sitting on your “we’ll get to it” list…

This is your sign.

Drop me a message - let’s get you sorted before April makes you look daft 😉

🐥Check Your Ducks Cancer Support Group - Relaunch🐥

We’re incredibly proud to announce the re-launch of the Check Your Ducks Cancer Support Group at Overslade Community Centre.

Originally created as a small supportive space for our community, the response has been overwhelming. Because of that initial demand, we are now able to open the group to the wider public and welcome both existing members and new members affected by breast cancer.

To make the group more accessible, we’ve introduced two monthly sessions, including an evening option for people who work during the day.

📍 Overslade Community Centre

🕐 Tuesday Afternoons - 1pm
Starting 7th April

🌙 Wednesday Evenings - 6:30pm
Starting 22nd April

For clarity, dates for the rest of the year will will be shared shortly.

This support group is currently open to existing members and anyone affected by breast cancer - from primary diagnosis to secondary and everything in between.

We also warmly welcome family members and friends supporting someone with breast cancer, because we know the journey affects loved ones too.

In time, we hope to expand the offer to support people affected by other cancers, subject to demand and the resources available.

What can you expect?

🐥A safe space where you can talk, listen, or simply sit with people who understand
🐥Guest speakers and practical sessions covering topics that matter during and beyond treatment
🐥Information and support that complements the care people receive from their healthcare teams
🐥Wellbeing referrals to our local Myton Support Hub
🐥Opportunities to hear from specialists and community partners

We’re already planning future sessions including topics such as:
• Post-surgery bra fitting support
• Wellbeing and holistic support
• Menopause and hormone health after breast cancer
• Lived experience Q&A and open conversations
• Practical guidance and supportive resources

The group is designed for adults aged 18+. Where younger people need support, this may be explored in a more appropriate private setting.

Most importantly, this group is about connection, understanding and community.

Sometimes you don’t need advice.
Sometimes you just need people who get it.

🐥A Safe Space to Share & Care🐥

If you’d like more information or would like to attend, please drop us a message or simply come along to one of the sessions.

Endometriosis doesn’t wait. 💛

March is Endometriosis Awareness Month, and this year’s theme is powerful.

Because endometriosis doesn’t wait for a less busy day, an easier shift, or for life to slow down…and yet so many people feel like they have to just push through.

At Enlighten & Lead, and through my work with Hormones on the Blink, I’m really passionate about changing that.

Because this isn’t just about menopause.
It’s about hormone awareness as a whole.

From endometriosis to perimenopause and menopause, hormone-related challenges are impacting people every single day - in the workplace, at home, and in our communities.

The more we understand, the more we can support - whether that’s:
⚡️Better conversations
⚡️More informed managers
⚡️Practical, realistic support
⚡️Or simply helping someone feel seen and heard

No one should feel like they have to struggle in silence.

If this is something you’re curious about, whether for your workplace or personally - I’m always happy to have a chat and share a bit more about the sessions I offer.

Let’s keep the conversation going 💬

Thank you for the warm welcome The Warwickshire Review 😊
