Chiropody practice in Rugeley providing general chiropody service. My name is Phil Yeomans and am sole practitioner and owner of Rugeley Chiropody.

I qualified in 2002 and am a member of the Health and Care Professions Council - http://www.hpc-uk.org/ and of the Institute of Chiropodists and Podiatrists - http://www.iocp.org.uk/
Rugeley Chiropody provides a general all chiropody service including Ingrowing nails, Corns, Callous removal, fungal/thickened nails etc. Diabetic feet are a special area of concern and routine examination/treatment

by a qualified practitioner is advised by all associated health professionals. Treatment is by appointment only. There is a 24hr answering machine Tel: 01889 801821 and emails welcome. Rugeleychiropody@hotmail.co.uk . Car Parking within 50yds of front door. No stairs in clinic and wheelchair access. Payment can be made with either cash, Cheque or Credit Card. Receipts which are acceptable by the various Healthcare Schemes are available on request.

Good morning and I hope you're all well and full of anticipation for Christmas.
I have finished now for the year and I'm back in clinic on Thursday 2nd January and I'm going to enjoy a well earned break.
Thank you all for your support, loyalty, humour and the many varied chats this year. I have enjoyed them all and hoping you and your feet have also benefited from your visit to Rugeley Chiropody.
As 2025 approaches, quicker it seems, I sincerely hope that your New Year is filled with smiles, good health, fulfilment and contentment.

Morning all.
Am delighted - and you don't know how delighted I am! - to have tested negative at the weekend and am back at work this morning.
Careful nursing by my long suffering wife has been A1 so while not bursting with energy by any means, I am seriously better than I was with Covid. Please be careful out there, it is all over the place..
If you were contacted to postpone your appointment last week be assured I shall catch up with you and re-book you in asap and thank you for all your kind good wishes, it is really appreciated as is your patience...

Good morning all. I hope you are all good as can be as the year moves into the autumn..
Some of you will have noticed that the clinic has been shut this week without an explanation. The reason is the dreaded Covid virus has its' grip on me right now and is reluctant to leave. As I am a healthcare provider to many vulnerable people it isn't even an option to treat people, even if I could, so I have no choice but to close while poorly. As I am the only practitioner in the clinic then it also compounds the issue.
I have endeavoured as the week has progressed to contact all patients with appointments to let you know that I have to postpone your time with me and shall call you again when testing negative and fit to work to re arrange your appointment as promised.
I sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may of caused, and can with a 100% certainty assure you I'd much rather be enjoying making your feet more comfortable as I always try to rather than endure what I have now... I am sure my wonderful wife and nurse would say the same!
Thank you for your patience, your many goodwill messages and please stay safe out there, the virus is well and truly doing the rounds....

Good evening all. I hope this Spring weather is helping to reduce the webbed feet I’ve been seeing of late.. 🦆😁

I am going away for a while in May and Rugeley Chiropody shall be closed:

Friday 3rd May to Tuesday 28th May.

In view of this, bookings for existing patients of Rugeley Chiropody will have an extended period before I can offer an appointment.

Thank you for your patience and understanding to date, it is appreciated and I apologise for possible disappointment when trying to obtain an appointment.

Good morning from misty and frozen Stafford. I hope you are all keeping well and isn't this year racing on; however spring is definitely starting to show.... 😊

My patients have been really kind to me with their loyalty and are plainly satisfied with the service I endeavour to provide with their footcare, and will strive to continue to do so. Sincerely thank you....

As I am a sole practitioner in Rugeley Chiropody then there is only myself to do all manner of things involved with running the practice therefore time is always precious.
With this in mind I have reached saturation point and am regrettably NOT able to take on any new patients for the foreseeable future and lead-time for appointments can be 4-5 weeks before I have any vacancies.

I cordially ask for your patience should you require an appointment as I really do try to find one but right now there will be a delay.

My opening hours are Monday to Thursday however I visit many people in their own homes to provide footcare all over the place for patients who are unable to get to my clinic because of their mobility issues.. If the clinic is closed during this period of time I will be out providing footcare in their homes and therefore not on the premises.

Enjoy your Sunday whatever you are doing and should you already have an appointment booked I look forward to seeing you then.

Good morning all. It's been a while since I posted and hope you are all well and the world treating you kindly. Also hoped you have enjoyed your extra hour in bed!!

It's been an eventful year one way or another for me but glad to say the clinic goes from strength to strength, thank you all for your continued support and loyalty.

I reached my milestone age this week and was so very humbled by the amount of cards and gifts given to me, a sincere thank you. We enjoyed a hectic city break in Rome to celebrate and will never complain about the traffic on Horsefair again!!

The diary is starting to fill up as it does prior to Christmas. Should you know you may require an appointment before the Christmas period, as I shall be closed between Christmas and New Year, please do contact me to book an appointment to avoid disappointment and sore toes...

You will note that the clinic is now open Monday to Thursday only. This isn't a phased retirement, just my decision to give me more time to enjoy other pursuits. I am everything in the clinic from cleaner, receptionist, to clinician and administrator. Tie all this with an appreciable amount of Home Visits I do for people unable to get to the clinic then I can be very busy. So after 20+ years enjoying my role as Chiropodist and now in my 60's, how did that happen!, then some 'me' time due.

Those of you who know me will probably have heard me rant about the senseless waste of usable medication and dressings etc, needlessly disposed of because the NHS Chemists are unable to take them back once dispensed by them, regardless of the fact they are perfectly usable and unopened. . Well I am delighted to say I have forged a contact with someone who can process and use these items in needy areas around the world via the various charities crying out for them.
So if you have medication that is unopened in boxes and unused, expired date wise or not: have any dressings or medical appliances like catheter tubing etc you are very welcome to bring them in to the clinic reception area where there is a bin to dispose of them. Sadly this does not apply to large items like walking sticks, walking frames, crutches etc, just packable smaller items.

Good morning folks. Hoping all good in your world and lighter mornings and evenings making days much pleasanter.

I have been so very fortunate that so many people chose Rugeley Chiropody and myself to provide their footcare that I am having to make the difficult decision to not take any further new patients on for the time being. This is the only way I can preserve the level of service I provide to date which suits my existing patients. I have no wish to compromise this but it is becoming evident that I cannot sustain this if I add any further work to my existing patient list.

To be clear however I am not withdrawing, retiring, closing or anything such as, just trying to look after you as I have done to date.. And look after myself too.....🙏

I have made arrangements with a local colleague/friend that should anyone require footcare and I am unable to provide it, Hayley will be happy to discuss visiting you in your own home to make your feet comfortable.

I hope your New Year is going to plan for you and some good things happening in your life. January such a long month but notice now light in morning sky at 6.45am. So very welcome.....
I am pleased to say we are off on our long awaited holiday tomorrow so Rugeley Chiropody will be closed until Monday 6th February.
We booked this break 4 years ago and endured many cancellations due to COVID so we are very much looking forward to it.
