WALX on The Chase is your gateway to health and fitness delivered in the picturesque Cannock Chase and surrounding woodlands. Nordic Walking is a unique way to exercise that everyone can do with a variety of training intensities that will help you achieve your goals. We recognise that everyone wants something different, whether you are simply out for a gentle social walk ending at a café or pub or

high-intensity Ultimate Nordic fitness class. Our classes are fun and enjoyable and are designed to get you fitter, more active; more often. WALX on The Chase is run by Jon Wood, an ex-IT Professional who is passionate about helping people become as healthy, functional and as disease proof as they can be. One of his favourite mantras is ‘Strive for progress and not perfection’ so let’s start your journey today and see how much fun we can have as we take you on your journey. It doesn’t matter how slow you go you will always lap the person sat on the couch!

It was an opportunity to experience the benefits of Total Body Walking with poles and meet with Jodie to help understand how Cognitive Behaviour Therapy can help navigate the challenges through menopause 🩷

Working in partnership with 𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐚 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 we are looking at introducing a new walk to our current programme, ‘𝑴𝒆𝒏𝒐𝒑𝒂𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝑾𝑨𝑳𝑿’ 𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒐𝒓𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑪𝑩𝑻 💚

Walks will be led by Sharon, a qualified female WALX Leader, and Jodie, a qualified female Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and we are keen to understand if there is an interest in this kind of walk 🤔

We will be hosting a free Discovery Session 🔎 on Saturday 18 April 2026 where we will introduce the programme and how we plan to weave cognitive behavioural therapy into the walk along with an understanding of the wider benefits of walking, being outdoors and the creation of a community with others who are facing similar experiences
