🌸🌟 The last couple of weeks at Home Instead Ruislip & Harrow have been full of smiles, surprises, and special moments! 🌟🌸

💌 We’ve been so touched by the lovely thank yous from our wonderful clients from flowers to heartfelt cards and even sweet treats. Your kindness means the world to our team.

🌱 Our green-fingered clients (and Care Professionals!) have been busy too… gardening, gardening, and more gardening! It’s been fantastic to see the joy that comes from time spent outdoors.

🧠 A big shout-out to our Care Professional Susan Harris for her superior quiz skills 👏 Well done!

🎯 We’ve also been loving our Boccia sessions at Oak Farm Library such a brilliant way to bring people together, stay active, and share some laughter.

⚽️ And to top it all off, we were invited by Barclays to see the Premier League Trophy up close, what an experience!

Spot the Signs don’t wait until it’s too late 🌟

At Home Instead Ruislip & Harrow, we’re proud to support Home Instead UK’s “Spot the Signs” campaign, raising awareness of the small but important changes that may mean an older person could benefit from some extra help at home. Too often, support is only sought when a crisis happens but noticing these early signs can make a world of difference.

Our Care Professionals are experts at spotting the little things that can have a big impact:

✨ Amarjit noticed a client needed nail care to improve balance and prevent infection.

✨ Clair saw repeatedly a client was forgetting to eat in the evenings, so we added an evening call to make sure they enjoyed a proper meal.

✨ One of our team spotted a hob had been left on, and our office worked with the family to safely remove the gas hob.

These small interventions can protect health, improve quality of life, and give families peace of mind.

This week, with the heatwave on its way ☀️💧, we’ll also be making sure our clients stay cool and hydrated just another way we’re keeping them safe and well every single day.

Keeping the mind active is just as important as staying physically well – especially as we age.

From puzzles, games, and painting to lively conversations and our welcoming community club at St Martins Church, we’re here to help older people in Ruislip and surrounding areas stay sharp, social, and stimulated.

We’re proud to support the London Borough of Hillingdon with weekly Dementia Workshops in local libraries – helping our community stay connected and confident.

It’s been a busy and joyful couple of weeks at Home Instead Ruislip & Harrow!

🎉 We were honoured to celebrate another incredible 100th birthday, what a milestone! There were smiles, cake, and plenty of celebrations to mark the special day.

☀️ Our wonderful clients have been soaking up the sunshine, making the most of the lovely weather with outdoor visits and activities.

⛳ Team Ruislip gave it their all at the Home Instead Charities Golf Day. No trophy this time, but we’re proud to have helped raise over £12,000 for such a fantastic cause.

🎭 And finally, our Community Club was filled with music and laughter as clients enjoyed a delightful performance together.

We’re so proud to be part of a community that celebrates life, supports one another, and makes every day a little brighter 💜

Last week’s gorgeous weather gave us the perfect opportunity to get our wonderful clients out and about — enjoying the fresh air, sharing stories, and soaking up every moment of sunshine. 💐☀️

A true highlight was celebrating an incredible milestone — a 101st birthday! 🎉🎂 It was an absolute honor to mark such a beautiful moment surrounded by laughter, love, and community spirit. 💖

We also took time to recognize the incredible achievements of our dedicated care professionals. 💪👏 Their compassion, hard work, and heart make everything we do possible — and we’re beyond proud to have them as part of our team.

Moments like these remind us just how much joy, connection, and purpose can be found in everyday care.
