May you be filled with energy & positivity!

May is one of my favourite months — everything’s blooming and it’s easier to feel a bit lighter.
A rejuvenating facial or balancing reiki session can help you match that energy and feel more in tune with yourself.

If you’ve been running on empty lately, this is a lovely month to refill your cup.

Reflexology is my most popular treatment with my regular clients and the majority don't view it as a treat but as an important part of their health and wellbeing, so as today is World Health Day it seems the most appropriate time to give this amazing therapy a little attention!

Did you know Reflexology can be carried out on the feet, hands, face and even ears! However, the most common association is with the feet and this is what all Reflexologists train in initially.

Reflexology is NOT foot massage, but does make your feet feel pampered and refreshed afterwards.

It is a truly holistic treatment in that, although it is only carried out on one part of the body, it has an effect on the whole person. Therefore, it is extremely accessible for nearly everyone to receive.

Who is it for? Everyone! In particular, people often find it beneficial for digestive issues, insomnia, stress and anxiety, women's health and supporting chronic health conditions and much more.

Not convinced? Try it once and see what you think! I'm sure you'll be surprised (not to mention extremely chilled out afterwards)

April is Stress Awareness Month, and it feels like a good time to pause and check in with ourselves.

I see so many people who carry their stress in their shoulders, their jaw, their stomach — it builds up quietly.

Holistic therapies can really help to release that tension both physically and emotionally and give you a bit of breathing space.

Get in touch for advice on how holistic therapy can help you best.

I created my Signature massage in response to what I was seeing so often in the treatment room — tension held in the upper back, neck and shoulders, clenched jaw, migraine and tension headaches and the effects of ongoing stress.

The treatment includes targetted massage to the back neck and shoulders, incorporating hot stone work. This is followed by head massage to help relieve tension often caused by eye strain, jaw holding and teeth grinding and finishes with a facial massage with the addition of warmed and cooled crystal tools, adding another dimension of rejuvenation and rebalancing.to further support relaxation and release tension in facial muscles.

This pattern of tension is especially common with sedentary jobs, long hours looking at screens and the gradual build-up of every day stresses and tension.

I really enjoy giving this treatment and out of all my massage treatments - this is the one I would most like to receive myself!

Energise & Balance...

You can almost feel the shift in March — the light lasts longer, and everything starts to wake up a little.

Reflexology is lovely right now for boosting energy and shaking off that heavy winter feeling. Think of it as a spring clean for your body and mind.

March into Spring with your best foot forward!

Today is World Cancer Day and along with Oncology massage and reflexology treatments, I am an Approved Reflexology Lymph Drainage Practitioner.

RLD is a treatment that was devised as an alternative to manual lymphatic drainage, originally created to treat women who had developed Secondary Lymphoedema after having lymph nodes removed during cancer surgery.

Lymphodema is not curable, but is treatable and RLD aims to aid lymphatic drainage and reduce congested lymph. It is an award-wnning treatment that was developed by Sally Kay and it can be given as a standalone reflexology treatment or the techniques incorporated into a standard reflexology treatment.

RLD is not just for Lymphodema however. Many people have reported positive results, particularly in supporting symptoms of auto-immune and inflammatory conditions such as arthritis, eczema, chronic fatigue and for general wellbeing.

It is a very gentle and relaxing treatment, similar to normal reflexology, but mainly focussed on the dorsal (top of) foot where most of the lymphatic system reflexes are mapped.

Intrigued? Why not give it a go!

Self-Love, Not Just Romance

February - The month of Valentine is all about showing love to others, but how about a bit of self-love this month too?

You could book yourself in for a peaceful hour or so of relaxation and balance with me, but equally a few treats at home - face pack and foot soak, candle-lit bath or even just half an hour to yourself with a good book and a cuppa if that's something you don't often get the opportunity to do is worth it.

A little bit of calm goes a long way this time of year. 💗

Even better was how much she enjoyed her first experience of Reflexology!

Happy New Year to you all! What do you think of New Year Resolutions? - Good idea or doomed to fail?

Personally, I think resolutions can be useful if they're realistic and centred around small, achievable changes; otherwise, they risk becoming a source of negativity.

I don’t have resoluations as such, but do have some goals to work towards this year. I know 100% that I won’t achieve all of them all the time, but they are something to aim for and I'm going to keep them easily visible to remind me of them often!
