Heavy dry skin build-up on the heel is more common than you think🦶🏼

When skin isn’t regularly exfoliated and moisturized, it thickens to protect itself — which can lead to cracking. Professional care paired with daily hydration helps keep heels smooth and healthy.

👣 What to expect at your first appointment 👣

Your first visit is all about getting to know you and your feet. We’ll start with a detailed consultation so I can understand your medical history, any concerns, and what you’d like help with.

Your treatment will then include:

• A full neurovascular assessment
• Nails trimmed and filed
• Thickened nails safely reduced (if present)
• Corn removal
• Callus and hard skin removal (if present)
• Finished with a nourishing moisturising foot cream

My goal is to make you feel comfortable, cared for, and walking away with healthier, happier feet🦶🏼

If you have any questions before booking, feel free to message me!

Dry, cracked heels aren’t just cosmetic — they’re called heel fissures, and they can become painful if ignored.🦶🏼

When the skin on your heels gets too dry and thick, pressure from standing and walking can cause it to split. Left untreated, those cracks can deepen and even lead to infection.

My patient presented with thickened callused tissue along the posterior plantar calcaneus. The excessive hyperkeratotic build-up created tensile stress within the epidermis, leading to painful fissuring.

Treatment performed:
✔️ Sharp debridement of hyperkeratotic tissue
✔️ Reduction of fissured margins to relieve tension
✔️ Smoothing of the surrounding area
✔️ Aftercare plan to restore skin barrier function

By removing the damaged tissue, i reduced pressure, improved elasticity of the skin, and decreased the risk of deeper dermal splitting and secondary infection.

heel fissures are not “just dry skin.” They’re a mechanical and dermatological concern that requires proper assessment and sterile technique.

If you’re experiencing painful heel cracking, seek professional care rather than attempting aggressive home removal.

👣 Welcome to The Foot Clinic Cheshire 👣

I am a fully registered Foot Health Practitioner with almost 5 years experience. Over the years, I’ve worked as a mobile practitioner across Runcorn, Widnes, Warrington, Frodsham and Helsby, providing professional foot care in the comfort of my patients’ own homes. I also regularly visit care homes and hospitals, ensuring high-quality, compassionate care for those who need it most.

I have been incredibly lucky to have built most of my client base through word of mouth. Every patient has come from personal recommendation, which I’m extremely grateful for.

Due to growing demand, I’m excited to share that I am expanding into a clinic setting alongside my mobile services.

✨ The clinic is currently in progress, so please keep an eye out for further updates and announcements coming soon! ✨

I’d love to use this page to share my days in the clinic and the treatments I offer, and helpful foot health information, giving you a better insight into what I do and how I can help.

Thank you for being here — I truly appreciate your support and look forward to welcoming you 👣✨
