Closure of Mind Halton

It is with regret and deep sadness that we must announce the closure of Mind Halton. We are unable to accept any new referrals and the office will close Friday 30th August 2024

Unfortunately, the charity is no longer financially viable. The challenging economic climate coupled with the lack of insufficient ongoing funding means that we must close with immediate effect

This is an incredibly difficult time for everyone affected, particularly our, volunteers and service users who are at the heart of everything we do. We extend our sincere thanks to all those who have worked hard in supporting us and raising funds to help sustain our work

Anyone affected by this closure and concerned about their health and wellbeing can get help from these services:
- People in crisis can can now access services through NHS 111, then press 2 or online via nhs.uk.external
-If you're feeling suicidal or at risk of self-harm can go to any hospital A&E or call 999
-The Samaritans provide a free, confidential 24 hour phone support by calling 116 123 or emailing jo@samaritans.org
-Crisis support provide a free, 24 hour phone supportby calling 0800 051 1508
-Free 24 hour text service support by texting 'shout' to 85258
-Wellbeing Enterprises support and activities by calling 01928 589799

So here it is people my dreams and vision have finally become reality and am so excited to share with you All.

THRIVE WELLNESS AND SELF DEVELOPMENT HUB.
To kickstart this incredible project and most tranquil space, we have organised a wellness open day.

You are all invited to come along and see what it’s all about, what we have planned and how this Hub can benefit you & your family. While raising the frequency of the community.

As our mission statement states “We Thrive Together “
This open day will be Full of incredible community support services catering for all and will be available for you all to connect with ✊🙏

We have reached out to some absolutely amazing practitioners out there who are so passionate about introducing their techniques and gifts to as many people as possible and they will be there on the day to answer any questions about what there about to bring to this space 🪄

Any other practitioners out there that are looking to hold space we would love for you to come along and meet the thrive team and get a real feel for this magical space 🫵

We at thrive would love to see you all there 🙏

A massive THANK YOU to all the members of The Silverbacks Running Club and their supporters who have raised an amazing £3,121 for us by completing a 24hr run around the Heath Business Park on Saturday 27th January. We think you are all Amazing!!

Physical exercise has a positive impact on mental health as does feeling you are part of group and being able to access support from other members.
Silverbacks Running Club members are passionate advocates of promoting men's mental health. They raise awareness, break down stereotypes, and foster an environment where vulnerability is celebrated. Why not dig out those long lost trainers and pop along to give it a go!

This is focused on looking at anxiety. As we know it's exam season we thought we'd add some links to information around exam stress and support that's available for both the pupils taking exams and their parents. It's often difficult as a parent to know how to support your child during this stressful period as we know from past experience!

Remember to look after yourselves and each other and try to take some time out to do something you enjoy. Good luck to everyone involved!
