Once you access that you don't need to keep pushing through.

I used to think if I only got my body under control when I'm speaking I'll be ok.

But these were unconscious responses which no matter how hard I couldn't control.

Your unconscious mind is running 95% of what we do.

When we access the deeper part of the mind. The control room of the mind we can update the pattern we are running at the place it starts.

So that you can show up as the wonderful speaker that you are.

If you want to be a better public speaker- start with how you speak to yourself

Because chances are there's already a conversation happening inside.

"This is going to go wrong"

And then what happens is the body follows. Your throat tightened, the words go offline.

Not because you can't do it but because you have turned on yourself.

But what if you took that pressure off of yourself and learned to support yourself.

"I'm learning to do this"
"I don't have to be perfect"

Because the way you speak to yourself shapes how you show up.

And when that shifts so does everything else.

It's not that you aren't interesting.
Of course you are.

It's your internal experience of sharing yourself.

Maybe your throat tightened or you're searching hard for the right words.

So it feels like nothing is there.

But the reality is once you start turning down that internal noise you can truly connect with who you are in these moments.

You're asking yourself why did I do that?
Why did I say it like that?
Did they notice my voice shake?
I sounded stupid.

While everyone else has forgotten the meeting you're still playing it in your mind.

This happens because your brain still thinks this moment is threatening to you.

So it keeps analysing to protect you next time.

This isn't that you're a bad speaker.

This is your mind running a pattern.

When we update that old pattern the deeper mind stops treating speaking as a threat.

So that you can get on with your day.

You already know how to speak.

You know your subject. You know your work.

And yet your body still acts like it's under threat.

You've learned the breathing and power poses and yes they help but it never fully goes away.

Because the problem isn't skill.

It's a pattern your brain learned to keep you safe.

Until that pattern is updated you will keep managing symptoms instead of being free.

You were taught that confidence in public speaking comes from practice.

But still your heart raced and the mind went blank.

So you told yourself I'll practice more. Maybe even joined toastmasters.

But here's what no one told you.
Practice builds skill but it doesn't automatically rewire fear.

If your body goes into high alert mode the moment you have to do any public speaking. It's not a skills gap.

It's programming.

Confident speakers aren't faking it. Their nervous system isn't in survival mode.

The shift happens when you access the control room of your mind. The place where it starts in the first place.

He was capable. He was the problem solver.

But every time he hosted a call he felt his self doubt creep in.

Changing how our brain perceives what's happening in these moments can allow our brain to stop coding these moments as danger.

The nervous system settles.
Thinking returns.
Leadership becomes natural.

Confident speakers still get nervous.
It shows you care.

But it's about working with that energy instead of fighting it.

One tool I used all the time is my Speakers reset.

Within minutes my system settles, my breathing slows down and I feel calm and composed for the presentation.
