🏋🏼♀️A quiet moment before the lift
‼️but this part matters just as much as the rep itself
I’ve learned (sometimes the hard way) that preparation isn’t just about performance, it’s about protection
🏊♀️I swam growing up and caused myself an issue with my shoulder. It makes pressing movements uncomfortable and so the way I prepare is really important
Whether you’re chasing a goal, rebuilding after an injury, or just trying to stay consistent the way you prepare shapes everything
Injury taught me that prevention really is better than cure
🧱 Warming up, staying mobile, listening to my body: it’s not just ‘extra stuff’, it’s the foundation!
And when setbacks happen (because they do), preparing to come back with patience and care is what gets you moving again.
So yeah, I’m not just getting ready to press in this photo
