Would like to once again thank Isabel Grimshaw from Scran station 2024 for providing the boys with filled rolls tonight. 15 in attendance,1 of which a new but recognised face. Was good to welcome you along,we hope you’ll now make a regular appearance.
Nobody knows when they might need the aid of our group. They just seem to find us and begin to feel better about themselves. Having the group to lean on and to help you out if you have a problem is a great support for lots of our members.
This Saturday between 1 and 5 The High Backs host their annual Easter event. There’s lots going on check out their page by pressing the blue highlighted name. The men will be in attendance to help out throughout the day. Bring yourselves along and check out the venue with your loved ones first if you’ve thought of coming along to our group but just been a bit shy.
We’re here to help men of all ages from all walks of life.

Busy weekend for the lads of MENding minds. Grass all cut and polytunnel cleared of all the old garbage that was in it.
This is in preparation for this weekends Easter event being held The High Backs this Saturday the 18th between 1 and 5 PM all welcome along to see the animals ,have an easter egg hunt and basically some good wholesome fun.
Some of the lads will be in attendance to help the Easter bunny out again. We had some laugh last year and everyone who attended had a great time. We’re hoping this year will be even bigger and better.

We have our usual meet tomorrow evening at 7pm

We’ve had a productive weekend from the boys of MENding Minds. All this is in preparation for the Easter event being held in The High Backs this Saturday, April 18th. They cleared out the room, cut the grass, and did some work in the polytunnel.

Seeing that it was absolutely scorching today we decided to get the boys together for a BBQ. Obviously joking with the weather but was a good wee night. Lots more of these to come in the coming months.
Few games of darts, a good scran and a right old giggle as always. Big shout to Donald Mcclintock Jnr on the grill tonight,food was amazing. Also to Mcd Tony for helping him get things ready for the boys coming at 7.
All the guys go above and beyond for the good of the group. Come along and see what you can offer the group and what the group can offer you.

15 MENding minds members attended tonight to have a chat,a cuppa, play some dominos, toss some darts and just be good company for one another.
We were very kindly donated the tasty filled rolls, cakes and crisps for this evening from Scran station 2024. Thanks to Isobel for the generosity. Please check out their page or better yet head along to them for your breakfast or lunch, you won’t be disappointed.
Dylan brought along the kiltwalk T-shirts for the members taking part this year in aid of our group and in memory of our member Josh Duncan. Josh sadly took his own life in December at 27 years old. There’s too much of this happening to families across Scotland and this is why we exist. We want to let everyone know we are there to listen to anyone struggling with life and needing support.
Money raised doing the kiltwalk will help with the running of our group but to be honest the best thing anyone reading this can do is press the small arrow at the bottom of this post so all your friends see our post. Look at the views we get in one day when around 100 people share our posts. Thank you all so so much ❤️❤️
Please do this for EVERY time we post. This is how we gain traction and hopefully put an end to the horrible epidemic of young men in Scotland taking their own lives.

14 bodies at MENding minds tonight. 11 braved the elements and went a wander around Rutherglen very well done to you lads. Horrible conditions but still showed up.
3 of us stayed in the shed and got the place sanded ready for paint. Sounded absolutely awful outside so I tip my hat to the lads that showed and went. We’ll need to ramp up the walking efforts in the coming weeks to prepare for this kilt walk.
Not the best weather as I said but everyone still turning up for their fellow members speaks volumes.

Busy wee evening getting things moving in our men’s shed. Ceiling almost complete (ran out of boards). Lights back up,flooring down and place cleared out ready to be taped and filled. Place kind of came to a stand still for a good few months but the lads now have the bit between their teeth again and we’re making things hapn as the group is really gaining traction so we need the space as quickly as possible.
Toilet block is due to be piped into the sewage system soon and The High Backs is really going places. This place is for everyone. Follow the high backs page to see the upcoming events and see how you can become involved.
Had a right good laugh as always with the guys tonight. Appreciate all of you giving up your time to make this place what it is.

19 guys attended MENding minds tonight, two of which were first timers.
We love seeing this group get bigger and better every week. Nothing expected of the men, just enjoying one another’s company,a game of darts or dominos and tonight a wee munch from the chippy.
A few of us are pushing on with the men’s shed build every day after work and it’s coming on a treat. Flooring has been bought ready to be fitted once the ceiling and walls have their finish complete. Numbers are swelling week on week too so be good having the extra space. Don’t think the current space could take every member showing up at the same time.
If you’re seeing these posts more regularly and wonder what the group is like please come along and be welcomed in. We are here for men of all ages,from all walks of life.
We’re building something worthwhile and permanent where men can be themselves,a safe space where if they so wish they can share their problems and hopefully resolve them with the help of the group. We help our men find work, Proper benefits advice if they are unable to work,Signposting to mental heath services if needed….Anything we can do to let men know they’re not alone with their troubles. Give us a try you won’t regret it.
