From a counselling perspective animals can play a powerful role in emotional wellbeing:

⭐️They help regulate our nervous system- have you ever noticed how calming it is to stroke a pet?
⭐️They ease feelings of loneliness and isolation.
⭐️They bring comfort during difficult moments.
And when we lose them, that absence can feel incredibly profound. Grief after losing a pet is real, valid and sometimes overwhelming.
It really matters to have the space to process when they are gone.
