My name is Ian Digby and I live in Ryde, on the Isle of Wight. The vision for Digby Woodwinds is:
to cut down waste by refurbishing and reselling instruments.
My values are driven by the teachings of the Bahá'í Faith. You can find out about that here: http://www.bahai.org
I was encouraged to start this business by my erstwhile flute teacher Karen Trueman, who has generously provided referrals, contacts and encouragement. I learned woodwind repair techniques at Llangunllo School in Wales, the renowned brass and woodwind repair training centre run by Trevor Head. Mastering these skills takes years.
I have a well equipped and fully insured workshop [currently running from home due to the pandemic] and can supply reeds, mouthpieces, ligatures and many other accessories and supplies through the online shop, or on demand locally. Just visit my website at www.digwoodwinds.co.uk or call me on 07948 448820 or email isdigby@googlemail.com.
Instruments are fully insured whilst in the workshop or being delivered by me personally. For second hand instruments I focus on well-known, recommended brands such as Yamaha and Buffet. They are repaired and serviced before sale.
