Why Does Pain Keep Coming Back?

If your pain improves for a while but then returns, it usually means the underlying issue hasn’t been fully addressed.

Temporary relief can happen, but without proper rehabilitation:
• Muscles may remain weak
• Movement patterns may stay altered
• Load through joints may not be well managed

This creates a cycle where symptoms return under similar conditions.
Breaking that cycle requires identifying and addressing the root cause — not just the symptoms.

Do you get Pain When Sitting?

Pain during sitting is increasingly common, especially with desk-based work.

It may be linked to:
• Prolonged loading of joints
• Reduced movement through the day
• Muscle tightness or weakness

Small changes in movement habits, combined with targeted exercises, can significantly improve comfort.

It’s not just about posture — it’s about how your body tolerates position over time.

Is shoulder pain affecting your sleep?

Shoulder pain often becomes most noticeable at night.

This can be due to:
• Pressure through the joint
• Tendon sensitivity
• Limited movement options when lying down

When sleep is affected, recovery can feel harder.

Understanding the cause helps guide treatment — improving both comfort and function.

Shockwave Therapy: For Relieving Persistent Pain

Struggling with pain that hasn’t improved — despite rest, exercises, or other treatments?

Shockwave therapy (ESWT) is an evidence-based treatment used for long-standing musculoskeletal conditions, particularly when symptoms have been present for more than 3 months.

It works by delivering targeted acoustic waves into the affected area, which are thought to:
• Stimulate tissue healing
• Improve blood flow
• Reduce pain sensitivity

Shockwave therapy is commonly used for:
• Achilles tendinopathy
• Plantar fasciitis
• Calcific shoulder pain
• Hip tendon pain
• Certain cases of knee osteoarthritis

It’s typically considered when other treatments haven’t resolved the issue.
A course usually involves 3–6 sessions, depending on your condition and response.

Your physiotherapist will assess whether it’s the right option for you.

Frequent headaches are not always just “one of those things.”

In many cases, the neck plays a significant role.

Tension, stiffness, and reduced mobility in the neck can refer pain into the head, often felt as a tight, aching sensation.

This is commonly linked to:
• Prolonged desk work
• Screen use
• Reduced movement through the day

Addressing neck movement and muscle function can help reduce the frequency and intensity of these headaches.

How Long Are You Going to Put Up With Pain?

If pain is affecting your day-to-day life, it’s already costing you more than you think.
It changes how you move.
What you avoid.
What you feel able to do.

Most people wait — hoping it will settle.
Sometimes it does.
Often, it doesn’t.

And the longer it’s left, the more established the problem can become.
The good news is that many conditions respond well to the right physiotherapy — with a clear plan and the right guidance.

You don’t have to keep working around it.
Taking that first step is often what changes everything.
