We’re hiring a Freelance Marketing Assistant (Email & Social Media)

Are you a creative marketer who loves running and storytelling in equal measure?

At Nice Work, we organise more than 150 running events each year — from local 5Ks to iconic half marathons. We’re now looking for a freelance Marketing Assistant to help plan, create, and deliver our email and social media campaigns that keep the running community inspired and connected.

3 days a week, freelance
Remote (UK-based)
Immediate start
Must be a runner

If you’ve got 1–2 years of marketing experience, great copywriting skills, and the drive to turn campaigns into finish-line smiles, we’d love to hear from you.

And as we head to the Chelmsford Marathon and Half Marathon this weekend, (why not have two posts?) there may be times when friends and family will question the sanity of the runners...perhaps even one or two of the runners may even question it themselves!

Today's motivational post is dedicated to all those who took on last Sunday and for those about to embark on Chelmsford Marathon and Half Marathon this coming weekend.

Just keep putting one foot in front of the other - you decide the pace!

It is always sad when a team member leaves but for this little one, it really is time to say goodbye.

The clock stops at 137,000 miles or 5,229 marathons if you prefer.

Farewell little van - you served us well. Enjoy your journey to your final finish line.

There was a warm welcome for all at the finish line of the Hastings Half Marathon yesterday. 13.1 miles of sunshine set the runners off and the gleam off those incredible brasses was something else.
So today, to salute our runners, we are renaming to

Come on runners, shaka ya brass!

Sunday 2 November, Crowborough 10k & 5k is back!

The 10k is part of the Sussex Grand Prix and has been a local favourite for over 30 years. The newer 5k is quickly building its own following too.

Expect challenging hills, brilliant marshals, and a post-race cake table that’s basically legendary 🍰.

Martin calls it “a firm favourite.” Julie? “Loved it… train for the hills!”

Come for the run. Stay for the cake.

There is a lot of excitement in the Nice Work office now and it is building to a crescendo as we head towards Sunday. After all of the too-ing and fro-ing earlier in the year, after all of the disappointments of the postponement, FINALLY Hastings Half Marathon is back!

The signs are going up, anticipation is building and it is safe to say, we're all embracing our inner Tigger right now!

The arch at Folkestone is always an impressive feature of the race but did you manage to reach up for your goals? Sunday saw Nice Work teams at Folkestone and Eridge - two very different races over two very different courses.
