Feeling grateful for a week away with my family to the slopes, twice postponed! Mountain air, exercise, sun & fresh snow, time with the family… all of us conquering fears in one way or another ( i have hated heights since having kids!.. my son gets vertigo , my husband recently had a bulging disc, my daughter.. well she wanted her 2nd Etolie ski badge as if she was competing for the Olympics!). I forgot about about the worries of the past two years & just relished being in the present with my favourite bunch of humans ( really missed the dog though!) Virtually no screens, internet.. it was good to feel free & alive! Even my iffy hip held up ( yes i did do my daily stretches!😂) .

Feeling excited to get back to work tomorrow!
I didnt quite leave work head behind though… helping a few fellow skiers with injuries.. glad I took my ktape along! 😂

Thanks John Gibbons for a brilliant three days. Feeling extremely happy ( & exhausted) to finally complete the last module of the Bodymaster Method diploma. I saved the best (& most complicated!) until last! 😀 Really excited to now be able to start to include this vital element of understanding, assessment & treatment into my clinic practice.

2 WEEKS TO GO!

As promised, here is some info on Premier Personal Training where my clinic will be based!

Contact Marcus at marcus@premierpersonaltraining.co.uk

Premier Personal Training is Rye's only private personal training studio run by Marcus Popple with a team of trainers with more than 35 years of experience in the field. Premier Personal Training was born a few years back out of Marcus's passion for health and general wellness.

‘’The COVID 19 outbreak was a changing point for many including ourselves. Our business model was immediately affected with gyms closing. This immediately impacted on our clients and knowing the importance to many of ongoing training to maintain their health and fitness, we had to act swiftly. We considered the health and safety concerns and also the fact we had seen some amazing results from training in an un-pressured environment and concluded taking clients into a private fitness studio was the logical solution. Our studio has been designed to create a spacious, non-pressurized environment for every client. As a company our goals are simple; to deliver outstanding results whilst providing a client experience that is as professional and enjoyable as possible, we strongly believe that if our clients are truly enjoying their experience, they are infinitely more likely to achieve amazing results. We provide a bespoke personal training service, whether you're a complete novice, competing athlete or require specialist training to help a pre-existing medical condition, our team of trainers are at hand to help you.’’

Our Story

My interest in focusing on complementary therapy as a career started 8 years ago after years of working and running my own public relations company. Exhaustion and constant travelling led me to seek a completely new direction in my work and lifestyle.

Having already practised Reiki for a number of years after discovering its enormous benefits when suffering from insomnia, as well as being a great advocate of massage itself, I completed my Diploma in Holistic Massage and Anatomy & Physiology with distinction and continued to advance my learning by completing a Diploma in Advanced Clinical Massage at the Jing Institute of Advanced Massage in Brighton. I am also qualified in Advanced Myofascial Release and continue to explore this fascinating world of 'fascia and movement and its relationship with pain' with exemplary teachers such as Til Luchau from Advanced Trainings in Colorado. This has enabled me to focus on clients with chronic pain and health conditions and to help them to manage their pain. I am also fully qualified in oncology and pregnancy massage. Aware of the importance of good health I strongly believe that massage forms part of a regular and essential maintenance routine that everyone can benefit from, taking time to promote their own physical and emotional health and well-being. I use a wide range of techniques and tailor each treatment to the needs of each individual client. I can incorporate soft and deep tissue work, trigger point therapy, joint mobilisation, myofascial release and facilitated stretching. Pressure ranges from feather light to very deep, including remedial work which focuses on injuries such as whiplash, rotator cuff issues, frozen shoulder or plantar fasciitis. I work with each individual client in a way that does not promote pain but seeks to allow their body to find its own pathway to healing. This is important for everyone, especially people suffering with long-term pain conditions like fibromyalgia or EDS. I am fully insured & first aid trained. I offer a mobile treatment service within a 12 mile radius of Beckley, East Sussex. Rates: All treatments are offered in a 60, 75 & 90 minute sessions and are charged as follows: Prices include cost of travel. I allow an additional 15 minutes consultation prior to the first treatment. 60 minute treatment - £55 or (5 x bookings for £250)* 75 minute treatment - £65 or (5 x bookings for £300)* 90 minute treatment - £75 or (5 x bookings for £350)* *to be paid in advance Please email me at bertietayloryoung@gmail.com or call me on 07702 123843 to arrange an appointment or to discuss any questions you may have about the treatments I offer. I look forward to hearing from you! http://www.bertietayloryoung.com/testimonials.html
