Just because we aren't regularly posting doesn't mean we aren't regularly working!

Over the past few weeks we've had a huge number of staff out covering a variety of events.
From regular cover at two Football Clubs to Running Events, From BMX events to Fun Fairs. We also had some staff assisting another provider with a Couple of Unit Medics in London & the Midlands as well as an EMT doing a nightclub cover in Nottingham.

Alongside this - our Clinical Leadership & Operations Management Team have been reviewing all our policies, procedures and writing new PGDs to ensure that we are covering events safely and effectively.
We've also spent some time upgrading our equipment to help bring standardisation across the company.

It started Sunny today, but by the end it was a tad damp for our CRU and Responder Team at the 5K run this morning.

However it was still all smiles from our team on the ground today.

A busy Week for the team with staff out across the South & the Midlands.
We supported a Craft Show in the South East, an Equestrian event in the South Central Area, and had two events in London - A UCAS Day for Students & working as part of a Multidisciplinary team at a Tag Rugby Event as well.
We love working as part of larger teams and to work with a Physio alongside us helps to ensure that patients get the right & best treatment when needed.

We've still got some spaces in our calendar for more event medical cover this summer & will be looking to fill our winter diary as well soon.

If you need medical cover either a one-off event or continuing cover for a regular venue we'd love to hear from you.

Drop us an e-mail to admin@localmedics.co.uk

A busy weekend for the team saw us cover a Food Festival for 3-day, a 10K run, support two other companies with their NTE & Equestrian Cover before culminating in a Nepalese Music Festival in the South.

Alongside this we've also spent the last few days planning both for further events this summer & some kit purchases to improve the quality of the equipment we carry and use.

Recently staff, on two different events, have been involved with a patient in Cardiac Arrest.

Thanks to Early Recognition of this, Early CPR (including by Bystanders before our team was even alerted) & Early use of a Defibrillator, both of these times a ROSC (Return Of Spontaneous Circulation) was achieved, before the patient was handed over to the NHS for transport to hospital for further care.

So why are we sharing this? It isn't to blow our own trumpet, it's to show the importance of CPR & AEDs and how these 𝑫𝑢 save lives.

Thanks to following the Chain of Survival, as shown below, our two patients have survived and are making a good recovery.

Do you know how to do CPR?
Do you know how to use an AED?

If not - why not learn?
Either undertake an in-person course, or why not try the British Heart Foundation's online course - https://revivr.bhf.org.uk/
It can take as little as 15-minutes and you never know, it might just help save a life.

To the two patients we saw, we wish you the best with your recovery and hope to see you at events soon.
