Happy hump day ✨

There’s something quietly profound in the small, ordinary moments of life—especially in January, when the days can feel long and energy is often in short supply.

This month has a way of stretching time, of asking us to keep going even when motivation wavers. But within that slowness, there are glimmers: small pauses that don’t fix everything, yet gently steady us.

Maybe a glimmer in January is booking a class with your favourite nurture teacher, or booking that therapy appointment with one of our incredible therapists.

We are so lucky to have the most incredible teachers and therapists offering the most amazing sessions!!

Each day we’ll enjoy vibrant, seasonal meals — colourful, nourishing, and lovingly prepared — to refuel and restore. Evenings bring slower movement, gentle breathwork, and time to gather around wholesome food and good company as the day fades into golden light.

Whether you’re new to yoga or have been practicing for years, this retreat offers space to unwind and rediscover balance. Expect laughter, calm, and connection — with nature, with community, and with yourself.

Dates: Friday 3rd - 5th July 2026
Location: Nestled in the tranquil hills of Welshpool, Mid Wales. This retreat centre is a true hidden gem — surrounded by forests and fields, with beautiful accommodation, a riverside sauna, and views that invite you to slow down and breathe deeply.

Seasonal Yoga is back on Friday 30th January at 11am and this month, we’ll be honouring the celtic festival of Imbolc 🌅 The snowdrops are soooo close now folks!

Welcoming the first signs of spring and the long awaited returning of the light. Halfway point between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox - rising from deep rest, we’ll softly begin to rekindle our inner fire with slow and gentle movement to reawaken as winter fades.

Be gently guided towards connecting with your own internal rhythms in harmony with the cycles and wisdom of nature.

Guided breathwork to relax, release or energise; mindful movement sequences for physical mobility, strength, flexibility, balance and stability; meditation for building resilience and mental clarity and deep relaxation to leave you feeling nurtured and calm.

Each month, Shelagh will suggest one way you can begin to deepen your relationship with nature, inviting you to take your practice off the mat and into everyday life. Gentle encouragement to live more mindfully, creating a feeling of presence and connection with nature as your guide.

You don’t need to be an experienced yogi – just come as you are. You’ll leave feeling refreshed, rebalanced, and more connected to yourself and the world around you.

We even have a new Sunday class starting for you this week: 9.30-10.30am Women’s Strength & Core

A supportive, empowering Sunday class, designed to help you feel toned, strong and confident.

This full-body women’s strength class, blends functional strength training with focused core work - using a mix of dumbbells, resistance bands, bodyweight, and functional movements. The session is designed to improve muscle tone, boost metabolism, enhance posture and support everyday movement.

It's no secret that movement can help us manage stress and discomfort but why is that?

Slow, intentional movement signals safety to our nervous system and so not only will it leave you feeling calm and relaxed but it can also be powerful natural pain relief!

When we're in pain that isn't related to a specific injury, we'll often try to over complicate movement by thinking that exercise must be prescriptive. We believe we need to move in a way that will specifically target the 'problem' area.

We might also believe that if we move at all, we're going to make things worse.

Neither of these are true but our nervous systems are hardwired to make up stories and create sensations it thinks will keep us safe! This becomes a habit and so the pain can persist, even if there's no physiological reason 🤯

Taking time to check in with your body, to still your mind and explore movement in time with your breath will cultivate physical awareness so you can begin to move intuitively, in a way that supports your needs. It also activates your parasympathetic nervous system response, encouraging calm and so over time will increase your tolerance to stress and painful stimuli. It begins to communicate safety from your body to your mind and from your mind to your body in a positive feedback loop and so your experience of pain begins to shift. It's not magic, it's science!

When you work with Shelagh, you'll receive insight into the causes of your pain and discomfort and gain the tools you need to manage or eliminate it. Her unique approach, combining gentle chiropractic techniques, remedial massage and therapeutic yoga as well as sharing knowledge of the most up to date neuro and pain science will leave you empowered to move and live beyond pain.

You can also join her on the last Friday of every month for Seasonal Yoga at 11am.
