A new children’s picture book has been published which was inspired by the story behind Cam Valley Crematorium’s white Letter to Loved Ones memorial post box.

Published by Scholastic Books, “This Letter Says I Love You” can now be read by anyone who visits the crematorium.

The heartfelt picture book illustrates how people can stay connected to loved ones they have lost by writing them letters.
It was inspired by the story of 10 year old Matilda Handy, who expressed a wish to be able to write to her grandmother after she passed away.

Cam Valley Manager Mark Winnock said: “We have all been very touched by the positive feedback we’ve had from bereaved who have benefited from using our post box and we believe this new book is perfect for supporting and comforting children who are grieving the loss of a loved one.” 💛

As Father's Day approaches next month we invite you to join us in rememberance of our fathers or father figures.
It’s an opportunity to honour their memory and the impact they have left on our lives.

Wooden hearts that can either be taken home or hung on a memorial will be available to personalise and write a message on.

Cards will also be available in the waiting room that can be dedicated to your loved one and posted in our memorial post box.

The team at Cam Valley look forward to welcoming you.
