The very first glimpses of spring are emerging, seen by eyes that look. Tiny buds are appearing on the trees; and snowdrops are pushing through what is left of last yearβs fallen leaves. I see how delicate they are; the purity of the snow white petals. First keeping their gaze down to the earth; but as the days pass becoming bolder and opening as they absorb the sunlight. It is a wonder that such a graceful, elegant and peaceful plant can drive its way through the icy, solid ground.
Life seeks expression though and slowly wakes from its winter slumber. As do the birds. Ears that listen can hear the gentle birdsong in trees lining the path, growing in strength day by day; alongside the rustling sound of squirrels scampering nearby, foraging out the bounty hidden many months ago.
