⚽🌍 CARE HOME OPEN WEEK 2026 🌍⚽

You’re warmly invited to join both our Care Home and Saffron Day Club during Care Home Open Week for a fun-filled week of football-themed activities inspired by this year’s upcoming World Cup! 🏆🎉

This year, the Care Home and Saffron Day Club will be celebrating together with a joint open week, giving people the opportunity to see what life is really like within both services, meet the people that live in the home, Day Club members and our dedicated team members, and join in with the fun and celebrations. ❤️

Care Home Open Week is all about opening our doors to the local community, so we’d love to welcome families, friends, neighbours and new visitors to come along, enjoy the activities, and take a look around.

📅 Here’s what we have planned:

🥐 Monday 15th June from 2pm
🇫🇷 French Café – Join us for a French-themed quiz whilst indulging in delicious French pastries, cheeses and wine.

🎤 Tuesday 16th June @ 11am
🎶 Singer Thomas Huttlestone will be joining us for a morning full of fun, laughter and football-themed songs!

🎉 Tuesday 16th June @ 2pm
🏆 World Cup Special Prize Bingo with the chance to win not one, but TWO special prizes!

🍫 Wednesday 17th June @ 11am
🇧🇷 Making Brazilian Brigadeiro treats together.

✈️ Wednesday 17th June @ 2pm
🌴 We’ll be travelling all the way to Brazil, so grab your passports and flip flops and join us for a cultural afternoon full of Samba!

⚽ Thursday 18th June from 10:30am
🏡 Garden football games and flag making activities.

🍹 Thursday 18th June @ 2pm
💪 Exercising with Jade followed by a refreshing glass of PIMM’s or a mocktail.

🏴 Friday 19th June – All Day
☕ England Day! Enjoy tea, scones and refreshments whilst we come together to watch the iconic 1966 England match.

We have had a wonderful afternoon at our monthly ladies club. We got creative with a Sip and paint session. The ladies created some stunning canvases, just look how nice they turned out 🤩

🐎 We've had a great morning at our monthly men's club! We played the Grand National horse racing game and Derek and Michelle were our first place winner's with their famous horse 'Sea Pigeon'! Second place was Duncan with his well known horse 'Red Rum' and third place was Paul with 'Arkle'. It was a great laugh and we look forward to next month's meet up 😃

✨ We had a right party this afternoon with Andy Vocals ! 🎤🎶

Residents at Stanley Wilson Lodge Care Home - Excelcare sang and danced along to Andy and his amazing vocals!

Andy performed some of the residents’ favourite songs and gave us all a wonderful blast from the past 🎵💃

It was lovely to share this special afternoon with both residents and the relatives who joined in too. Seeing everyone smiling, singing and enjoying themselves together made for a truly memorable Monday afternoon ❤️
