📢 Update on Routine Ultrasound Appointment Wait Times

We’ve been informed that there is currently a 10–12 week wait for routine ultrasound appointments for referrals sent to West Herts Hospital Trust.

We understand this delay can be frustrating and appreciate your patience while the hospital works through the current backlog.

👉 Please do not contact the surgery or the ultrasound department to check on your appointment unless it has been more than 10 weeks since your referral was sent and you have not yet received an appointment offer.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation, your support helps our team and hospital colleagues focus on patients with the most urgent needs. 💙

What a fantastic turnout! We were thrilled to see around 100 patients at the recent Weight Management and Wellbeing event.

We are so proud of our very own Dr. Sonali Dasgupta (GP and weight management lead here at The Lodge Health Partnership) who led the session. She delivered an informative and engaging talk, exploring the science behind weight management, healthy lifestyle measures, and the new Mounjaro treatment on the NHS.

This successful event was a partnership with HaLo PCN, and it was wonderful to also hear from TBC Healthcare and Watford FC’s Community Sports & Education Trust about the other valuable support programmes available locally.

We're passionate about bringing this kind of proactive, expert health information to our patient community.

Measles cases are on the rise across the UK, but the MMR vaccine offers safe and effective protection against measles, mumps, and rubella.

If you’ve never had the MMR vaccine or have only received one dose, you’re not fully protected. Two doses are needed for the best defence.

✅ Book an appointment with one of our nurses to get vaccinated.

HaLo Patient Education Evening – The New Asthma Guidelines

HaLo Primary Care Network hosted an informative and engaging Patient Education Evening on the New Asthma Guidelines at Jersey Farm Surgery. Around 20 patients attended the session, which focused on helping people better understand their asthma management and treatment plans in line with the latest asthma guidelines.

The evening provided valuable information on how asthma treatment is evolving, including refreshers on inhaler technique, asthma reviews and asthma and the environment. Patients had the opportunity to ask questions, share experiences, and learn practical ways to take control of their asthma day-to-day.

HaLo PCN is committed to continuing these educational events to support patients in understanding and managing their long-term conditions with confidence.
