New space, same energy

The Motor House is the new Studio at The Oak House. The Donkey Store has been outgrown and moved next door into a bigger studio. Friday was the first day of classes. I got to experience it both as a student and teacher, Colleen’s Vinyasa class was amazing as always, and I taught a taster class in the afternoon. It could have felt strange in a new space but it felt natural, like the space has been here for much longer than a day. There’s more room but that same grounded, welcoming atmosphere is still there.

Join me Mondays 5pm Vinyasa, 6.15pm Yang to Yin, Saturdays 9.15am Hatha.

A Yang to Yin Yoga class offers a complete mind–body reset by guiding students from purposeful movement into profound stillness.
The experience begins with Yang; an energising and uplifting practice designed to warm the body and awaken vitality. Expect dynamic flows, strength-building postures, and breath-led transitions that cultivate heat, focus, and a steady sense of empowerment. This active phase builds circulation mobilises the joints and clears mental clutter as you move with intention.
As the practice unfolds, the pace gradually slows and the emphasis shifts into Yin, where long-held, floor-based poses invite deep release. Supported shapes target the connective tissues—fascia, ligaments, and joints—allowing the body to unwind layer by layer. With the muscles softened from the Yang work, Yin postures become more accessible, spacious, and meditative.
This class offers the best of both worlds: the strength, clarity, and vitality of Yang balanced with the surrender, introspection, and nourishment of Yin. Yesterday I had the pleasure of attending and helping Marina on her 108 Sun Salutations workshop. 3.5 hours that felt intentional and accessible, with options offered in a way that honoured different bodies and energy levels, that genuinely supported longevity on the mat.
Marina led us through such a well-held practice — thoughtful pacing, consistent structure, a powerful reminder that it’s not just what we teach, but how we guide people through it. I learned a lot from the other side of the mat.

Had such a lovely time yesterday with@aimeecorry at her December Wind Down Retreat.
Aimee is an incredible host and even made her own snacks!!
We started with Pilates, she always kills me with that Pilates ball 🤪 but does offer lots of options.

Then we were treated to a Hand Reflexology workshop by Dawn, , where we got to learn and practice some reflexology on ourselves. We even had time to do some last-minute Christmas shopping with Dawn’s selection of products.

Aimee then led us through the perfect yoga flow followed by a relaxing sound bath. The whole day flowed, and everyone was lovely, Aimee always has a great following and I always see the same happy faces returning. I’ve been lucky to help Aimee at a few of her retreats. Every retreat Aimee runs is always different and they honestly never disappoint—new themes, different workshops and such a nice vibe every time.

Blissful day at Aimee’s yoga retreat! 🙏✨ Spent the day surrounded by like-minded souls, practicing Pilates, yoga, meditation, sound and self-care. 🌟 Aimee is an amazing teacher, the day flowed from start to finish.

It was the perfect escape from the daily grind, and I left feeling refreshed, renewed, and centered.

I’m also now addicted to Gua sha after an amazing demo and talk by

🌈 Great opportunity to connect with my inner self and meet new friends. 🙌
