Yesterday felt like the first day of spring and wasn't it glorious?! Our residents and staff enjoyed the warmth of the sun shining down and that vitamin C. The daffodils are here as well and we are enjoying every minute of it! ☀️☀️☀️ Let's hope it continues!

Food glorious food! Spaghetti Bolognese and vegetarian sausages were on the menu!
Food is a vital part of the residents day and their health and nutrition. Everything is cooked fresh in our kitchen on a daily basis. Yummy!!!

Our staff suggested, in our staff survey, a pampering session. So last week Alban Manor organised and treated our staff to some relaxing treatments from our wonderful beautician Verna. It was a great day and everyone really appreciated it! It was nice to take a bit of time out. Thank you Alban Manor & Verna x

Last Thursday, we were delighted to be invited to a Parliamentary Reception in the House of Lords by The Outstanding Society, as we are taking part in the Vivaldi Social Care project.
The aim of this project is to reduce the impact of infections and outbreaks in care homes.
"Our mission is to improve the quality of life for people living, visiting, and working in care homes, while also reducing the risk of infections and avoiding hospital admissions. We endeavour to achieve this through the VIVALDI study that utilises existing data, with minimal input required from care home providers."
Thank you for inviting us, our Matron and Quality Manager had a wonderful time.

We had so many wonderful visitors who offered up their time to come and sing lovely songs/carols for our residents.

We are still reminiscing about our packed December and festive celebrations. We are lucky to have our church services once a month and in December we had the special Christmas service which was lovely.

The January blues may be here for some, but our Christmas was so busy and full of festive cheer we have been looking back at the wonderful memories we made and we start with the best visit from Santa!!! It was so magical!
