Temple Academy of Reflexology is an Association of Reflexologists (AoR) Gateway School. This means that once you have completed the L5 Diploma in Practitioner Reflexology and received your certificate, you immediately qualify for AoR Membership. ​

​The AoR is the verifying organisation for the Level 5 Diploma in Practitioner Reflexology via which you are eligible to join the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), which is the UK voluntary regulator for complementary therapy practitioners.

We are delighted to welcome a new Partner Centre to the Integrated Reflexology Consortium – Temple Academy of Reflexology.

The Academy has venues in Daventry, Milton Keynes and Watford. Alex Clark is the Course Director at Temple Academy, and she works closely with Jan Kleiner-Mann and Rachel Webb, tutors at Watford and Daventry.

Alex has been teaching reflexology since the creation of the Level 5 Diploma in 2012 and trained both Jan and Rachel, who qualified in 2016. Jan joined the Temple Team in 2020 and has a background in education, having taught individuals of all ages. Rachel, who joined the team in 2022, has a corporate background. Additionally, all tutors at Temple Academy have teaching qualifications and manage successful complementary therapy clinics. This ensures they possess hands-on experience and understanding of the subjects they teach.

At Temple Academy of Reflexology, we ensure that our students understand how foot mechanics affect the body's balance, alignment, and proprioception.

• The navicular bone, named for its boat-like shape, sits on the medial side of the foot, forming part of the midfoot.

• It acts as a keystone, supporting the arch of the foot whilst allowing for flexibility.

• Muscles such as the tibialis posterior and flexor digitorum longus attach to the navicular bone, enabling precise control over foot movements.

• The navicular bone is relatively easy to locate due to its prominent position on the foot and its distinct shape. It serves as a guide for 'navigating' the structures of the foot.
