Back in my happy place ❤️ so looking forward to getting back to work with my online membership tonight.

New term in person starts on Wednesday evening - bring it on! Most classes are full but spaces online and on Monday mornings in the Every Mum sessions.

She asked me to take a picture of her hair. How stunning is it?? 💫

Everyone else is asleep in our holiday hotel room and I’m sitting here scrolling through post after post about the genocide in Palestine. The contrast feels unbearable — the soft sweetness of this moment with her, and the unfathomable grief and loss so many mothers are facing right now.⁣

Motherhood sharpens everything — the joy, the fear, the love, the heartbreak.⁣

I might be hopeless with Instagram grids, I don’t know how to repost onto here, but I’m sharing as much as I can in my stories. Please don’t look away. Please bear witness.

There are no words for what is happening in Gaza right now. For me it has nothing to do with religion. It’s humanity. We all have a responsibility to do what we can, whether it is to share a post, to change your bank account to a bank that doesn’t support genocide (co-op, Starling, monzo), write to your mp, attend a march, sinn go a petition, share a post. It might not be much but staying silent is not an option. I know what side of history I want to be on.

I haven’t been showing up much on social media lately. I schedule posts in advance to keep my business marketing going but honestly it all feels just hideous to me when all I want to post about is Gaza and how the hell we are all carrying on with our lives when we are living through a genocide. I was planning to come on here and share about how much I miss my daughter this week while she’s on her year 6 residential but then I just felt like talking about that while 11 year old Palestinians are suffering like they are is hideous too.

I love my job, I want to show up here with advice and support but when I even have the energy to pick up my iPhone (yay for my ) it feels like not talking about Palestine is just wrong. So here I am, in my new jumper, from my sofa where I’ve been working and watching Love Island Aftersun (thanks .womenshealth) and just admitting that showing up in the online world is a lot for me right now.

The chocolate is long gone but I keep the thank you cards I get forever, I absolutely love hearing from my pregnant clients after their babies arrive, it is such a privilege to be part of the journey.

Remember the “no make up selfie” trend of 2014?? So funny as the idea of wearing make up at all now is pretty unusual but I remember it feeling quite brave posting this one!

Anyway, I digress. I struggled to make time for myself as a new mum, even with everything I knew about how important it is. I know how hard it is! Between feeds, naps (or lack of them), and trying to remember who you are outside nappies and laundry… carving out time for you can feel like an impossible dream.

But I also see the benefits - both in the early postnatal days and in the long term.

Here’s the truth I see every week in my postnatal classes:
🫶🏻 it eases aches, reconnects you to your breath, your strength and your body
💪 it supports your core and pelvic floor in ways that actually feel good
😊 and maybe most importantly - it gives you back. Even just a little bit

You don’t need to “bounce back”, you need a space where your body is met with kindness and care. That’s what postnatal classes are all about - support for the you who’s rebuilding inside and out.

Yesterday I took a little trip into St Albans to see .womenshealth and get my pelvic floor checked. It had been a while and, just like going to the dentist, is worth doing regularly. I had this ni**le in my lower back that I couldn’t quite shake with my usual exercises etc so I thought some internal work might be what was needed. And wow was I right! I woke up this morning feeling soooo much better in my body - my lower back is so much looser, I can feel my breathing is easier, even my neck and jaw feel like they have released.

Everything in your body is connected to your pelvic floor - from how you breathe, to how you stand, walk, lift, and even how you feel emotionally. It’s the foundation of your core, supporting your bladder, bowel and reproductive organs, and working in harmony with your diaphragm, deep abdominals and back muscles. When it’s not functioning as well as it could be- whether it’s too weak, too tight or simply out of sync - it can lead to issues like leaking, back pain, prolapse or a deep sense of disconnection from your body. That’s why what I do is so powerful - you build strength, coordination and awareness through movement that connects your whole system, not just your pelvic floor in isolation.

If I wasn’t connected to my body I could easily have missed the realisation that my pelvic floor was involved in this recent issue. And being able to see someone like Jo was so brilliant. We had a lovely catch up while she sorted me out and I feel so much better today ❤️

Had a cheeky haircut and popped on to say hi because since getting my I am hardly on instagram (and it feels goooood) but I do still have a business to run!!

So many exciting things happening at the moment - a brand new menopause class, a workshop with and my new coaching business alongside (follow for more info on that)
