Strathmore Lodge - is an independent, uniquely small care home providing exceptional care, support and companionship in a homely, friendly, supportive and encouraging relaxed environment. Strathmore Lodge is a family owned and run business whose director, Jason Ball, has been providing residential care since 2000. The ethos of our company is to keep things simple, remembering that people are at the heart of everything that we do. We strive to provide individual personalised care for each and every one of our residents in a supportive, encouraging, and loving environment to promote independence and dignity .

We did armchair travel to Turkey 🇹🇷.
We looked at different items from Turkey and we tasted their food.

On the menu was…

Feta and spinach tart
Couscous
Olive bread

Turkish rice pudding
Baklava
Turkish delight
Halva

Fresh Elderflower lemonade

Everyone had a full tummy. 😋

The Simple Joy of Reading in the Sun

There’s something quietly magical about reading outside in the warmth of the sun. The way sunlight dances on the pages, a soft breeze flipping them gently when you pause too long. The world slows down. Birds chatter overhead, trees sway like they’re nodding along with the story, and for a little while, it’s just you and the words—no rush, no noise, just peace.

Whether it’s a well-worn paperback or a fresh new novel, stories somehow feel richer when read under an open sky. The warmth of the sun settles into your skin, and suddenly, you're not just reading—you’re absorbing. Living. Dreaming.

We feel like we’re running a florist 😇 we’ve been very busy flower arranging recently and we’ve had so much fun and we think we could in fact run our own florists 🤣

Our lovely Maureen was 105 yesterday, and what a beautiful lady she is. We all had a lovely day celebrating with her. 🥳 maureen later went out for pie mash and a few drinks with her family. ❤️
