We turned £595 into £800 for Youth Talk 💙 Our charity of the year, Youth Talk provides free, confidential counselling to young people aged 13 to 25 across Hertfordshire. Thanks to Big Give match funding, our December advent calendar raffle went even further, with our donation providing the equivalent of 16 free counselling sessions.

January marks the first part of HCPA 'Good Care Campaign', aiming to spotlight the amazing work of care professionals across the UK whilst showcasing care as a fulfilling and viable career choice.

Our care team is full of amazing career stories, and we have really enjoyed highlighting them. Previously, we spoke with Roberta, who traded a career in interior design to become a Care Worker. She spoke about her drive and passion to make a positive difference in people's lives, something that was missing in her previous career.

This winter, we are running our Tea, Time, and Togetherness project, supported by Bird & Blend Tea Co. with the aim of delivering 100 hours of voluntary companionship to our clients. And we have got off to a great start, delivering almost 15 hours so far!

2025 has been a special one for us as we marked 30 years of Abbots Care supporting people in the community. We are incredibly grateful to be in this position and proud of what we have achieved together.

Our advent calendar raffle has so far raised £549 to provide young people aged 13-25 with free and confidential mental health support 💙🧠 Thanks to Jim for coming in to tell us more about Youth Talk's mission, providing raffle prizes and hosting the day's draw 🎁🎅
