Have you ever given 'awe' much thought? That feeling of overwhelming reverence, admiration or wonder.
If you watch a baby or young child, they seem to often be struck by awe as they explore the world around them, seeing things for the first time. As adults though, we tend to experience less awe.
We've seen it all before, or at least something similar, and often we are so busy in our lives or caught up in our thoughts that we might not notice things around us.
But as I started planning for this month's members workshop, I began looking further into the importance of awe. Cultivating awe as an emotion is crucial for enriching our lives and broadening our perspectives.
Awe has the remarkable ability to transcend the ordinary, prompting a sense of wonder and reverence for the world around us. When we experience awe, whether it's gazing at a starry sky, witnessing the grandeur of nature, or marvelling at human achievements, we are reminded of the vastness and complexity of existence.
For this reason I've decided to continue this exploration of awe in my next term starting on the 15th April. Over the weeks, we will explore what awe means to us, tap into the feeling within us and decide how we can cultivate more of it in our lives.
Welcome more awe into your lives with my new term starting next Monday. Join me in person (St. Albans area) and online using my channel on Sudor. Links in my bio!
