Hot feet at night? 🥵

Try putting your foot cream in the fridge for 20 minutes before applying it.

A cool moisturiser on tired heels can feel amazing in this weather 👣❄️

What’s your go-to hot weather foot hack?

Today on International Nurses Day we just wanted to give a big thank you to all the district nurses we work alongside throughout the year.

We regularly see first-hand the care, patience and hard work that goes into supporting patients at home — often behind the scenes and long after appointments have finished.

From wound care and dressing changes to ongoing support and aftercare, your work makes a huge difference to so many people every single day.

We really appreciate the teamwork and support we receive when caring for shared patients, especially those who may be vulnerable or struggling with mobility and ongoing health conditions.

Thank you for everything you do from all of us at North Wales Foot Care 💙

Heel Pain Driving You Up the Wall?

If you’re struggling with heel pain, especially first thing in the morning or after sitting down, you’re not alone. Many people suffer with plantar fasciitis, and it can make everyday activities really uncomfortable.

At North Wales Foot Care, we offer Shockwave Therapy, a treatment designed to help stubborn heel pain that hasn’t improved with stretching, insoles, or rest.

Shockwave therapy works by:
✔ Stimulating the body’s natural healing process
✔ Improving blood flow to the injured area
✔ Helping reduce long-term pain

The treatment is quick, non-invasive, and many patients notice improvement after just a few sessions.

If heel pain is stopping you enjoying your walks, work, or daily life, it might be time to try something different.

📞 Get in touch with North Wales Foot Care to see if shockwave therapy could help you.

“On On Your Feet Britain day, your feet would like a word…
Less sitting, more stretching, more walking — and maybe a little TLC too.
What have your feet carried you through this week?”

Could do a “Show us your favourite North Wales walk” engagement post too (Snowdonia, beach walks, etc).

📞 New Out-of-Hours Call Support at North Wales Foot Care
01745 852710

We know foot concerns don’t always happen during office hours, so we’ve introduced out-of-hours call support through Front Desk Pro, our new automated receptionist service.

If you call us when the office is closed, you can leave your details and the reason for your call, and your message will reach us for follow-up.

It’s another way we’re improving communication and making it easier to contact us — even when we’re not by the phone.

✅ Support when the office is closed
✅ Leave a message without just reaching voicemail
✅ Helps us respond to enquiries more efficiently

We’re always looking for ways to improve our service for patients — and this is one more step forward.

👠 “Beauty or Pain… What’s the Real Cost?”

We all love a great pair of heels… but your feet might not feel the same 😬

This X-ray shows exactly what’s happening inside your foot when you wear high heels regularly:

🔹 Increased pressure on the ball of the foot
🔹 Toes being pushed into unnatural positions
🔹 Extra strain on joints, tendons, and ligaments

Over time, this can lead to:
❗ Bunions
❗ Corns & callus
❗ Metatarsalgia
❗ Heel & arch pain

👣 Our advice?
You don’t have to give up your favourite shoes—but giving your feet a break, choosing supportive footwear, and getting regular foot care can make a huge difference.

💬 Do you wear heels often—or have you swapped them for comfort?

📅 If your feet are starting to complain, we’re here to help. Message us or book online.
