🌍 It’s National Health Week

Quick question…

How many steps do you think you take in a day? 👣

Most people average around 5,000–10,000 steps daily…

That’s thousands of impacts on your feet — every single day.

So when something isn’t quite right, it can affect your knees, hips, and back too.

Looking after your feet isn’t a luxury — it’s part of staying active and healthy.

⭐ Another happy patient! ⭐

We love hearing feedback like this from our patients.

Melvyn recently had a home visit from Gus Wood, and after years of discomfort he was able to walk pain-free for the first time in years. That’s exactly why we do what we do.

Thank you for the kind words and recommendation, Melvyn — it really means a lot to our team. ❤️

If you or a family member are struggling with painful feet, remember we offer clinic appointments and home visits across North Wales.

👋 Meet part of the team behind North Wales Foot Care

When you call the clinic or walk through the door, there’s a good chance you’ll first speak to Sarah or Joanne.

📞 Sarah – Many of you will recognise Sarah’s voice from the phone. She helps keep the diary organised, answers enquiries and makes sure appointments run smoothly. If you’ve received an invoice from us, there’s a good chance Sarah has sorted that too!

🏥 Joanne – Joanne works both on the phone and in the clinic, welcoming patients and helping everything run smoothly behind the scenes.

Running a busy clinic involves a lot of work that people don’t always see, and we’re really grateful for everything they do to help keep North Wales Foot Care running day to day.

Next time you speak to them, make sure you say hello! 👣

✨ Meet Ella! ✨

We’re really pleased to introduce Ella, who is currently training to become a Foot Health Practitioner and will be joining the team here at North Wales Foot Care.

Ella has already started with us and you may notice her shadowing appointments over the coming weeks as part of her training. This hands-on experience is such an important part of developing confident, skilled practitioners — and we’re delighted to be supporting her journey.

Please join us in giving her a warm North Wales Foot Care welcome 👣

We’re excited to see her grow and become a fantastic addition to the team!

Sandal season doesn’t send a warning text.

One sunny day… and suddenly you’re staring at your feet thinking,
“I should have booked.”

This happens every single year.

Don’t be the last-minute panic call.
Our diary fills quickly once the sunshine arrives.

Look at this and see if it sounds like you 👇

🦶 “Don’t Leave It Until Sandal Season”

Winter is nearly over and sandal season will be here before we know it 👀

Every year we see lots of people who have hidden their feet away all winter… then suddenly realise summer is around the corner!

Corns, hard skin, thick nails and cracked heels are much easier to sort before sandal season arrives.

A routine appointment now can make a huge difference.

🦶 Lymphoedema Awareness Month

March is Lymphoedema Awareness Month, highlighting conditions that cause swelling in the arms and legs.

Many people with lymphoedema experience swollen feet and ankles, which can make everyday foot care much more difficult.

This can lead to problems such as:
• Thick or difficult-to-cut nails
• Hard skin and pressure areas
• Fungal infections
• Cracked or fragile skin

While we don’t treat lymphoedema itself, keeping the feet healthy is really important for anyone living with swelling in their legs.

At North Wales Foot Care, we regularly help patients manage these foot problems with professional nail care, skin care and advice.

If swelling makes it difficult to look after your feet, we’re always happy to help.
