Beach Yoga starting soon 😃

Saturday’s 10-11am, Carlyon bay beach, £10 cash, optional sea swim after the Yoga session. Starting Sat 25th of April 🏖️ 🤸🏼‍♀️🧘‍♂️ (weather permitting).

LOCATION: Walk down the hill not the steps from the top car park, turn left and keep walking down past the porta cabin/compound (Aspire Carlyon bay beach school & car park) which will be on your right, walk through the metal gates and continue, we will be around the corner on the right.
** Not by the pop ups or in front of the rock.
** Parking £1 per hour, new system in place.

Please bring your own mat or towel to practice on, wear sun cream if hot, You may need something warm for Savasana/relaxation. We do have a few spares if needed 🧘

Also if you fancy joining us for a sea swim after practice bring something to wear & something to get dry with.

Please listen to your body & take the practice at any level that suits you, rest when you need to and always remember “you are your own best teacher” I’m guiding you through your practice & everything I say is an invitation 💚

Yoga by the sea stimulates and improves your metabolism, as well as benefitting the serotonin levels in the brain. Studies show that exercising on an unstable surface, like a sandy beach, strengthens the secondary muscles of feet, hips, knees and shoulder joints. Beach yoga also clears your mind and heart. The warmth of the sand, sound of the waves, smell of the ocean, and the gentleness of the wind can all help bring you to a calmer, more peaceful place. Helping with our physical and mental body, reconnecting the mind body and breath.

These elements synergistically nurture physical vitality, mental clarity, and emotional equilibrium, fostering holistic well-being. Postures/asanas, invigorate your body, enhancing flexibility and circulation.

Meditation decrease stress & anxiety. It also improves symptoms of stress-related conditions, including irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), fibromyalgia and many more.

Better focus through regular meditation may increase memory and mental clarity.

Yoga Nidra allows you to access delta brainwaves, which are responsible for the healing and restoration that happens in your body. Activating delta brainwaves during Yoga Nidra allows your mind and body to rest while you're awake. Yoga nidra also activates the pineal gland.

This class is based around how Ayurveda (the sister of Yoga) suggests we start our days.

Join us every Thursday at 7.30pm at ELM Yoga for a dynamic and energising yoga practice that links breath with movement.
Rooted in the traditional teachings of Ashtanga Yoga, this flowing practice follows the philosophy of Vinyasa moving with the rhythm of the breath. Originating in Mysore, India, Ashtanga was developed and shared by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, and focuses on building strength, flexibility, focus, and inner discipline through a structured yet flowing sequence of postures.

Panchakarma is a comprehensive Ayurvedic detoxification and rejuvenation therapy consisting of five "actions" (pancha = five, karma = action) designed to eliminate deep-seated toxins (ama), balance the three doshas (Vata, Pitta, Kapha), and restore physical and mental health. It involves personalized, physician-supervised procedures such as therapeutic vomiting, purgation, and enemas, along with preparatory oil massages and steam baths.

Key Aspects of Panchakarma:

The Five Procedures:
1) Vamana (Emesis): Therapeutic vomiting to eliminate Kapha toxins.

2) Virechana (Purgation): Cleansing to remove Pitta toxins from the liver/gallbladder.

3) Basti (E***a): Medicated enemas to treat Vata, considered the most important step.

4) Nasya (Nasal Administration): Cleansing of the head and neck region through nasal drops.

5) Raktamokshana (Blood-letting): Removal of impurities from the blood.

Three-Stage Process:
1) Purvakarma (Preparation): Includes Snehana (internal/external oiling) and Swedana (steam therapy) to loosen toxins.

2) Pradhanakarma (Main Action): The actual, personalized cleansing procedures listed above 👆

3) Paschatkarma (Post-Treatment): Diet and lifestyle routines (Samsarjana Krama) to restore digestive fire (Agni) and rejuvenate tissues.

Benefits:
It helps to reduce stress, improve digestion, boost immunity, promote weight loss, and cleanse the body at a cellular level.

Panchakarma is typically recommended for chronic conditions, immune system dysfunction, and general wellness rejuvenation. It is usually conducted in a specialized clinic or hospital setting, often over 2–4 weeks.
