Here at Helping Hands we offer individually tailored high quality home care in Truro and the surrounding areas. We draw on nearly 30 years of experience, to ensure that the very best standards of support are delivered by our carer team to each and every one of our customers. We provide everything from companionship, housekeeping, all the way through to more complex healthcare support for people with conditions such as MS, a spinal injury, Parkinson's, acquired brain injury and those who have suffered a stroke. Every member of the Helping Hands team is here to ensure we enable our customers to enjoy the quality of life they deserve in the comfort of their own home, irrespective of their personal or medical needs.

As a live-in carer, Rita finds meaning in every day. Here’s how her journey began:

Helping Hands Truro

Helping Hands is the nations most widely rated home care provider and the only one to be endorsed as a Centre of Excellence by Skills for Care. With a team of registered nurses who have worked within the NHS, we can offer specialist support for people living with dementia, as well as care in the home for those with Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis or facing challenges after a stroke, to name a few. We understand how important it is to keep your independence. If things get too much to manage on your own, we are here to step in with extra support.

Visiting care is also completely unique to your needs and requirements and if there are certain aspects of your care that you prefer to do yourself, like showering or personal care for example, our carers will always respect your choice and independence. Visiting care can also be adapted, should you find you need more help with specific tasks or if your needs are becoming more advanced.

With over 90 branches across England and Wales, all overseen by a Registered Manager, we can arrange for care to start when you need it to and to be in place ready for hospital discharges. Because changes to circumstances can happen suddenly, we can also put care in place quickly for family emergencies or if you need a few days respite from looking after a loved one, ensuring they always have support in place.

Our fully trained carers can provide medical support including catheterisation, convene, PEG feeding and suppositories, to name just a few. All are managed by our team of clinical care nurses who will work with you to create a unique care plan. We also work closely alongside district nurses and occupational therapists when required to ensure that we’re able to deliver care that meets your needs.
