The Friday morning Infant Feeding drop in sessions are back at Whiston Hospital for the first time since Covid. These saved my sanity many times during the early days of feeding. If you need feeding support, they're a great place to drop in to.

At St Helens Maternity Voices Partnership we get loads of positive feedback from women about their experience of having a baby at Whiston. We share that with the teams - to say thank you and also so they know what's working.
We also get feedback about stuff that wasn't so great. We share that with the teams too, to help shape what they do and where things might need to change.
Whatever your experience, please share it with us so we can use it to make a difference to maternity care in St Helens. You can share your experience using our online survey anytime - www.tinyurl.com/sthelensmvp1 or if you'd rather have a chat with someone, drop us an email at sthelensmvp@gmail.com

Our next MVP meeting is this Friday, 8 July 9.30am-11am on Teams.

Anyone is welcome to join us. I'll be sharing the feedback I'm hearing from women with representatives from the hospital, health visiting and other services. And we'll be hearing about any actions they've taken as a result of previous feedback.

Its always really powerful when we hear direct from women about their own experience. If you'd like to join us to share your story of having a baby recently in St Helens - positive or negative - do let me know. We'd love to hear it and it really helps the service providers understand what's working well and where they need to make changes.

I need to say thank you. I received an award last night for my leadership of St Helens MVP. For the way we've used feedback from over 300 women in the last year to help drive improvement in maternity services.
That would never have happened if you hadn't shared that feedback in the first place - so thank you! Thanks to everyone who's given feedback online, spoken to me at events or on the phone or sent me an email. I realise that feedback hasn't always been easy to share, sometimes people are sharing things they'd really rather forget. But please know that every bit of feedback we get does make a difference. We use it to spot themes of things that are clearly going well, and things that need looking at. Thank you xx (and if you know anyone who's has a baby recently and is willing to share their experience, the online survey is always open www.tinyurl.com/sthelensmvp1 or email sthelensmvp@gmail.com ☺️
