🌎 Here at Simply Early Years we are decidated to making a difference to our beautiful world. We have seen the admirable work of Beach Buddies Isle of Man and want to do something similar 🌎

🚸 It is a mission of ours to highlight the importance of taking care of our local natural environments so that we can maintain and protect it for future generations 🚸

🌊 Our pledge to make a difference involves our lovely little ones and our fabulous childminder network. Every other week (weather permitting), we will be joined by Happy Bees Childcare and Lisa Byron Childcare to do a beach clean of our favourite North West beach 🌊

🎂 Birthdays! 🎂

🎉 We just love celebrating with our little ones and birthdays are always lots of fun 🎉

🎈We want our children to feel valued, loved and very important! Not only on their big day but all year round 🎈

🐻 Our setting mascot Paddington Bear was on hand to help us celebrate, eat cake, and introduce us to our CBeebies program all about celebrating birthdays 🐻

✨ Continued Professional Development ✨

🌿 Here at Simply Early Years we are dedicated to maintaining the highest quality of care and education for our children and consistently follow the statutory requirements from the Department of Education 🌿

💻 This week we have been busy attending online training provided by St Helens council, updating our working knowledge on the new changes relevant to early years providers working with young children 💻

This week we completed the following training;

✅ Designated Safeguarding Lead For Childminders

✅ Early Years Foundation Stage Framework 2025 - Changes For Childminders

✨ We will endeavour to attend as many Continued Professional Development opportunities as possible. This enables us to continue to provide consistently high standards of childcare, in addition to providing the best early learning experiences for our little ones ✨

🍁 What a lovely week we’ve had so far - immersed in the world around us and the seasonal changes that Autumn has started to bring 🍁

🌳 We are so fortunate that we have such beautiful, open and limitless natural spaces on our doorstep - perfect for our little ones to explore with vigour and natural curiosity 🌳

🌎 Exploring natural environments like these provides our children with the life long skill of valuing and caring for wildlife, their habitats and also their future - a top priority for us here at Simply Early years 🌎

🐿️ During our walks, the children demonstrated such respect for their surroundings - using their walking feet and quiet voices when needed. They later reaped the benefits of this during our search for some furry friends 🐿️

🪴 Not only do these amazing places provide our children with the opportunity to develop their coordination and gross motor skills but they are also able to enhance their cognitive development through problem solving, exploration and curiosity. This was evident during our visit to the Walled Garden, where we navigated our way through the branch archway in the rain, designed meals together in the mud kitchen and collaborated in the digging patch 🪴

🎉 What a beautiful send off for one of our little ones transitioning into Preschool - such a lovely opportunity for all our children and their families to get together and celebrate 🎉

🎵 Thank you to the fabulous Moo Music Wigan, Skelmersdale and Parbold for making it a party to remember, and for being our VIP guest🎵

✨ A special mention to our local Embroidered Logos 4u for supplying us with not one but two of the most gorgeous personalised graduation bears we’ve ever seen. Thank you - they were an instant hit ✨

What better way to learn about spring than stepping outside to see it for ourselves?! 🌼

The children were encouraged to use their senses to explore what they could see, hear, touch and smell

We sang our favourite🎵what’s that sound🎵to prompt discussion about the birds we could hear chirping in the nearby trees 🌳

To extend the children’s learning, we looked closely at the features of the daffodils and used the correct vocabulary such as stem and petals
