Busy week here at NWMS! We have started two 10 day long jobs, one at ‘illuminate abbey - Whitby’, one at ‘Spooky trail - Wilmslow’, 2 nights of music at ‘Boyzlife & Ibiza classics - Chester’, Wrexham AFC, 4 separate 10k runs across the country, American football and rugby! 🏉 ⚽️ 👻 🎶 🎇

Today we performed a site visit of the new outground for Lancashire Cricket 🏏 in Farington, Preston! What a lovely place this is going to be 💚

This visit was about quality assurance of the first aid facilities and emergency planning.

Medical provision for this ground will be managed by NWMS in addition to the main ground in Manchester during the 2026 season 🚑

NWMS is always looking to enhance the care we provide to our patients and to innovate.

We are pleased to announce that we have now made Intranasal Naloxone (an opioid reversal) available to ALL grades of clinician within NWMS.

This will be an additional adjunct to our enhanced formulary of medications. Currently intravenous and intramuscular routes are typically used, but generally more difficult to perform and not available to all clinicians 💉

By utilising this new method it makes the process safer for the patient and clinician but also offers the same benefits! And opens up this line of lifesaving treatment to all our clinicians and all our patients requiring this intervention. 💚
