Contraception can last from 1 day to 10 years depending on the type. The shorter methods are user reliant, this means it's the user's responsibility to take the pill or change the patch or va**nal ring as required. These methods may be less reliable if not used correctly. Long-acting methods are great for those who don't like to think about it every day; simply have it fitted and forget for up to 10 years depending on the type. For further information on contraception visit s*xualhealthsthelens.nhs.uk or call 01744 646473 to book an appointment.

It is actually really important.

Lots of infections, including chlamydia, can have zero symptoms and still cause a lot of problems. Your past partner, if they don't know that they're at risk for infection, So they're potentially passing on the infection to their partners, but don’t worry we can do it for you.

We will NEVER tell them who was positive for the infection. We just want you and you partners to get treatment so neither of you pass on the infection to someone else.
