A little appreciation post today for the women around us every day

The strength, the kindness, the resilience
and the way women lift each other up through so many different seasons of life

Self love salon has always been about creating a space where people can show up as they are, share stories, have a laugh
and take a little time for themselves

Today feels like a good moment to celebrate the amazing women who make the world a better place

BEAUTIFUL BRUNETTE

I love bringing life back to hair!!! My lovely client Jo had grown out brassy tones in her hair and wanted something a little cooler but still rich

I neutralised the brassiness and created a much more softer and sophisticated colour that was still multi tonal

Complemented by a soft, textured, layered cut

I think she looks absolutely stunning 🤩

SOFT LAYERS, NATURAL COLOUR

This cut was all about keeping things soft and wearable.

I added gentle layers to give the hair more movement without taking away the length, so it still feels easy and familiar to live with

The colour was refreshed with natural, blended tones to add a bit of brightness and depth, nothing too heavy or high maintenance

Simple, soft hair that feels lighter and grows out nicely.

GROUNDING OUTSIDE THE SALON

I love weekends like this!

Getting out in nature breathing in fresh air and just slowing everything down a bit is so refreshing and costs nothing

I spent some time outdoors enjoying the quiet and getting some good old tree energy (yes I’m a tree hugger!)

Being outside like this helps me feel more grounded calmer and more like myself again

I always notice how this comes back into the salon with me bringing softer energy, a calmer space and creating hair that feels natural and easy

Taking care of myself outside the salon matters just as much as what happens inside it.

SOFT S**G, BOLD FRINGE

This cut was all about working with my client’s natural texture and movement, letting the hair do its own thing.

I created a soft s**g shape to enhance the natural wave, with a choppy but bold fringe to frame the face and give that effortless, textured feel.

No fuss styling with this one, just a bit of salt spray, then either air dry or use a diffuser and you’re good to go.

If you’re drawn to lived-in texture and easy shapes that grow out beautifully, this is the kind of cut I love creating.
