We are currently experiencing technical difficulties with our website which is in the process of being resolved. You may not be able to access the website whilst under maintenance.

For any repeat prescription requests/queries in the meantime, please direct these to us by email- Spinney.administration@nhs.net.

Please note we do not accept prescription requests via telephone.

FYI - BLOOD TESTS AT BOWERY

If you are asked by a clinician to have a blood test, and would like to attend a South PCN Phlebotomy Clinic (located at The Bowery Medical Centre) please speak to a member of our reception team to book in.

The PCN are unable to book these appointments and do not operate a drop-in clinic. Patients who attend the clinic without an appointment will be turned away.

Please also ensure to collect your bloods form from reception prior to your appointment as you will not be seen without it.

These appointments can be booked via the reception at Spinney or calling us on 01744 758 999.

Expectant parents and new families, we are pleased to introduce you to the Family Hub who offer extensive services and support structures, including both prenatal and postnatal programmes and events.

Baby Showers:
Provide a relaxed and welcoming environment for expectant parents. These sessions offer practical information on newborn preparation and care, along with much-needed emotional support. In addition, the gatherings foster a sense of community by encouraging the sharing of experiences, building connections, and establishing early community links among families.

Pregnancy and Beyond Programme:
This six-week programme is a holistic journey tailored to meet the evolving needs of families from pregnancy through to the early years of parenthood. The course includes:

· Antenatal Education: Covering essential topics that prepare parents for the changes ahead.
· Choices During Labour and Birth: Providing comprehensive information to help parents make informed decisions during childbirth.
· Emotional Wellbeing: Offering guidance and practices to support mental health during this transformative period.
· Infant Feeding: Sharing practical advice and expert insights on various feeding options.
· Understanding Your Baby: Outlining developmental milestones and providing tips for nurturing your child’s early growth.
· Safe Sleep: Ensuring parents have the knowledge to create safe sleep environments.
· Home Safety: Offering a checklist of measures to maintain a secure home for the new arrival.
